'It's Thursday now, two days after the original agreement between us' Law thought to himself staring at the ceiling of his bedroom. Today was the first day you and Law were planning to meet up for tutoring. Both of you wanted to give it a few days before being near each other with emotions running as high as they were.

Law had finally decided to get ready for school after laying in his room thinking for an extra 10 minutes. Just as he had finished getting ready and was about to head down to eat with his foster father, he heard a large crash. He was mildly concerned but more annoyed by thinking of the mess that was definitely made.

As he made his way to the kitchen on the other side of the house, he heard a familiar voice talking to themselves. As he turned the corner, he saw the mess and sighed heavily in defeat. Plates all over the floor, some broken some not and his father sitting in the middle of it all.

"Oh Law! Don't worry about helping clean this up, just grab some food and head to school" The blond man said, surprised at his son's appearance.

"Yeah, sure" Law responded simply as he headed to the fridge avoiding all the broken shards while doing so.

"Law, I expected you to be sick, you never really ever get out of bed late otherwise" His father stated while getting a broom to start sweeping.

"Just thinking for a little bit, I have a lot going on today", Law started pouring something to drink.

At this Coras eyes lit up, "Does this mean my lonely son finally has a date!"

"What no!" Law responded quickly; he was starting to blush slightly getting food ready to eat on his way to school.

"Why can't you ever just humor me. Is it so bad for me to want my son to feel loved, by someone it doesn't have to be a woman. Law I except you no matter what" The older male said to him, getting serious at the end.

As the blond had said this Law was taking a drink which he promptly spit out. Coughing the process he finally responds, "What!? Cora I don't like men and I'm not lonely" he said starting to walk away from the eccentric man.

"Damnit Law I just cleaned up the plates!" he paused for a moment, "And quit calling me by my name! Is it so hard to call me dad?". Law simply kept walking during the ranting. As Law was closing the door, he heard an "Ungrateful" be uttered which simply made him laugh.

And just like that the day had gone by in a flash, leaving him alone with someone who he had no clue how to feel about. The tutoring itself had gone okay, however conversations about something other than math...was a different story.

"So, Law do you have any pets?", The (h/c) girl asked.

"I have a dog" he responded not looking up from the page of equations.

"Oh, that's cool what breed?" she inquired

"A white Samoyed" He responded coldly once again.

Every day, it went like that. (y/n) asked questions as to try and get to know him and he gave dry responses. Despite being a very popular guy, who girls fawned over constantly he wasn't the bests conversationist. Which made this whole situation even worse for him. With the addition of the fluttering in his stomach when you looked at him a certain way, he wasn't doing well.

So, he tried other things, texting, giving you rides home from practice (when he forced you to go home on time). But nothing seemed to be working, it was too awkward. And so, he made the decision to ask for advice from someone who he never would have thought of.

Law was finishing his homework in his room while Bepo laid asleep on Law's bed. Something he did not appreciate, especially when he was shedding. But there was no stopping him, he was not well trained whatsoever.

Bepo's head perked up when he heard the door open, and Cora walk into the home. Law who had been waiting for him to come home got up from his chair and walked down the stairs. Bepo following closely behind. As Law turned the corner, he smelt the take-out his father had gotten on his way home from work.

Law's presence didn't go unnoticed by the blond, "Hey Law glad I didn't have to call you down to eat for once!" He laughed at his son's unusual behavior.

Law chose to not respond instead sitting at the kitchen island to start eating.

"Hey. You, okay you're acting more anti-social than usual?" Cora asked trying to lighten the mood at the end.

Law sucked in a breath starting to pick at his food slowly.

Cora sat next to him at the island grabbing his own food, "Law you can talk to me if you need to. I am here for you, whether you want me to be or not". The two let silence fall between them as they started eating.

Just as Law was about to take his first bite, he put his fork down sighing heavily, putting his face in his hands.

"Law-"Just as he was about to offer more support he was cut off.

"I can't believe I'm coming to you for advice on this" He started rubbing his temples. "There's a girl who I can't tell if I like or not and I've been trying to spend time with her to find out if I like her in that way. But I'm so bad with one-on-one conversations, I can't seem to find out anything about her" he said frustrated with himself.

Cora was sitting there in shock at what his son had told him.

'He might like a girl' made him extremely enthusiastic

'He's asking me for advice' made him feel prideful

'And he can't out anything about her because he's bad at conversation' made him annoyed

However, through all of these emotions there's only one thing that came out of his mouth, "So you're asking me for girl advice about a girl?" he asked, eyes lighting up at the prospect of Law having emotions for a girl.

"No- I'm telling you that I might like someone and trying to get to know them better isn't going well"

"If it's not going well conversationally it's more than likely your fault, you aren't good at conversations. And I damn well hope they aren't as bad at it for the sake of everyone."

Law sighed and rolled his eyes in response, "Well what should I do to get to know her" he asked quietly looking away from his foster parent.

Corazon smiled at his timidness in asking about this, he thought it was adorable, but he would never tell him that. "Well, since your awful at conversation-" Law grumbles at this comment, however Cora ignored him and continued. "Find something she's interested in and ask her to do that with you. That way she feels more comfortable and opens up a little more!"

Law was surprised at such good advice from the usually over the top man. "Well how am I supposed to figure out what she likes if I can't figure out anything about her?"

"Oh, come on Law you have to know at least one thing about her!"

"I'll think about what I know alright"

Law and Corazon ate in silence for the rest of their time together. Cora was extremely happy with how things had gone; his son was finally opening up to him.  After having Law in his care for going on 5 years, he was finally opening up.

They two men had finished eating and cleaning the kitchen. As Law was heading back upstairs to finish the little homework he had left and shower, he said something completely unexpected.

"Thanks for the advice dad", he said quietly hoping the blond wouldn't hear him.

But he did and he was so overjoyed he was nearly in tears.

'I love this girl already'
