Monday, the start of the second week of school. As you left your home you felt like something was off, but you couldn't put your finger on it. As you walked closer to the end of the street you saw your friend's car once again. As the car came to a stop you opened the door and got in, throwing your school bag in the back seat.

"So how was your hangover" she asked with a smirk.

"Hellish, I'm never drinking that much again" you stated buckling yourself in as she starts to speed up.

She laughs at your comment, "I don't know what you expected, you never drink that much if at all".

"I don't know, for some reason Zoro was very convincing last night" you sighed.

"(y/n) think about who you're talking about". you rolled your eyes at this knowing she was calling you out on your excuse.

"So, you really don't remember who brought you home?" Robin asked

"I have no idea, but I got home before 3 and they seemed very familiar from what I remember"

"Well at least you probably know them" she sighed in resignment of trying to figure it out.

There was a comfortable silence before you spoke up, "So Robin, what happened in the time you didn't realize I was missing?"

She laughed slightly at the memory before responding, "Well Zoro and Sanji got into a fight, some sophomores got thrown into the pool and a lot of people were asleep on the floor. I don't want to even imagine what the cleanup looked like for Kidd"

"Yeah, no kidding that place had to have been a complete mess" you laughed.

Robin pulled into her parking spot, you both grabbed your bags and went your separate ways once again. As you sat down in first period you overheard people talking about how a girl planned to confess to Law today before class. You nearly laughed already knowing she was going to get rejected, but then you realized you were in the same position.

You had never had the guts to confess knowing you would be rejected. But at least this girl tried, she had more confidence than you. This made you feel pathetic, in all the years you had a crush on him and thought about confessing to him. You never did. Because you were so afraid of being rejected.

Just as you were going through yourself depressive episode the man in question walked in nonchalantly. You looked out the window as to not be noticed by anyone, but you could have sworn you felt someone looking at you. As you turned your head to look in the direction you felt the eyes you saw him looking away from you at the board as the teacher walked in.

You, feeling stupid for even thinking of the possibility of him looking at you paid attention to the teacher instead not wanting to fail the class.

It was slowly crawling closer to the end of the day, 9th period. And for some reason you had kept feeling eyes on you all day in every period besides 4th. Even in lunch you felt someone staring at you, but you could never tell who it was. This was no different for the last period either, someone kept staring at you which made you unable to focus. In most other classes this would have been fine, but this was math. Math was your worst subject; you had barely passed the last two years and you wanted to pass without too much struggle this year.

As the bell rang you heard your name being called by the teacher, "(y/n), do you have time for a chat"

You walked closer to the man you became more nervous, "Yes sir"

"Well, miss (y/n) it has come to my attention that you have struggled in math for the last couple years" he states looking at you with knowing eyes.

"Yes, I'm not too great with math" you said as you rubbed the back of your neck in nervousness.

"If you would like I can find someone to tutor you and help you with homework, I know a few students who would likely be willing to do so"

You were surprised, you figured he would insult your intelligence and tell you to pay more attention, "That would be greatly appreciated sir"

"Alright I'll make sure to talk to some people about that for you" he said with a smile.

You smiled back at him with a thanks as you left the classroom. You felt slightly better knowing you would be getting some help with math. Being able to pass without too much struggle was your main goal for the year.

You started walking towards the gym, excited for practice. For once at the end of the day you were in a good mood.

~~~~
Practice was frustrating to say the least, between this new egotistical Freshman who was 'trying' to steal your spot. Keyword trying because she was not as good as she thought. And the coach refusing to push the freshman beyond what they wanted to do. The old coach retired and a new one stepped into the role who you did not like at all.
To say you were in a bad mood would be an understatement, you didn't even want to stay after practice to work on anything today. You went to go change into some sweatpants before leaving with everyone else for once.
Robin was surprised at you joining them, "(y/n) you're going home on time for once" she asked.
"yeah I'm not in the best mood today" you said gesturing to the girl who pissed you off.
Bonnie laughed at your antics nodding in approval. She was one of the few people in your grade you got along with. You mostly talked to her through volleyball, but she put in good effort and cared about the sport, so you got along well.
You walked out with Robing and Bonney chatting about the weird freshman and classes in general. As you walked outside the sun was setting and it was lightly cold and damp, suddenly a squeal came from Bonnie as she got picked up from behind.
She started giggling, "Kidd put me down"
"Come on relax a bit" Kidd said smiling and putting her down gently still hugging her. "Let's go I'm tired and I still need to clean up from the damn party on Friday" he continued.
"Alright, Alright. Bye Robin, Bye (y/n) see you tomorrow" she said waving walking off with Kidd holding onto her.
"Wow I didn't realize Kidd could smile" you said nonchalantly
"Robin laughed at your comment and agreed. As you two walked closer to her car you heard some footsteps behind you. You ignored them knowing that nothing would likely come from it in the school parking lot.
You were able to ignore the footsteps until you heard a familiar voice call your name,
"(y/n), I need to talk to you"
