It was Wednesday now, nearly a week since you started meeting Law for tutoring. And well things weren't going well. Many things about you and him had changed from 8th grade but one thing stayed the same. Law was a bad conversationalist; he was straightforward and dry not great when trying to get to know someone.

Many options had run through your head of what you could do. One of which was stopping the meetings all together, but your improved grade stopped you from doing that. As much as you hated to admit it, Law made math make sense.

You were deep in thought about what to do while waiting for Robin in the morning. The car honking brought you back to your senses. As you opened the door you saw an unfamiliar presence in the back seat.

'Great there goes my chance of talking to Robin about it'

"Hey Usopp" you said as you hopped into the front seat.

"Hey (y/n)" He responded not looking up from his incomplete physics homework

You buckled your seat belt, and you were on your way.

"So, Robin you know how I haven't been coming to practice early" you started hoping Usopp wasn't paying attention.

"Yeah, with the math tutoring? how is that going?" She asked.

"Well, it's going well my grade has gone up a couple points and it makes sense"

"Wow they must be really good; I couldn't even do that. Who is it?"

"Well...it's a certain someone", as you said this, she took her eyes off the road and stared at you. As soon as she looked back there was an animal in the road, she stopped suddenly making Usopps homework go flying.

"(y/n) you were crying about that a week ago" she said staring at the road

"Yeah, but there was an explanation, and I was the one who overreacted" you said trying to be cryptic so Usopp wouldn't understand. Robin simply sighed as she pulled into her parking spot giving into you.

Now the end of the day in the odd time between school and sports, Law was tutoring you as usual. With dry ass conversations and asking questions about math. Just as you were packing your things to leave for practice, he finally worked up enough courage to ask his question he had wanted to all day.

"So (y/n)-"his voice got caught in his throat, "I don't-" he stopped after saying that, making your heart drop to your stomach.

'Did he already decide he didn't like me?'

He took a deep breath before continuing, "What I've been trying to say is that I was wondering if you would be willing to teach me volleyball?"

This request made you happy, "If you're interested I definitely can". You couldn't help but smile at him finally asking you about something.

"I'm free pretty much all weekend or whatever works best for you" he said

"I'm already going to be here teaching kids on Saturday, they're done at 3 if you want to come then"

"With the kids or after?" he asked raising an eyebrow at you.

"After stupid, you might be on the same level as them but I'm not going to make you deal with kids", you responded laughing.

"I can do that then" he said with a small smile.

Him doing this made your face flush immensely. So much so you literally grabbed your bag and nearly ran out the door. Only saying a quick "See you later", before leaving while covering your face. Meanwhile Law sat there smiling both at your reaction and the fact that, that was the most normal conversation he's had with you since starting the tutoring.
