He swore he felt his heart drop once the younger let out that sudden statement. He was sure that they can no longer be together.

Of course this was what Jake had also expected. As sooner or later, his one true love would leave him.

"I really am sorry but I need time for myself. I need time to heal. Hopefully you'd understand–"

The older immediately pulled him closer, wrapping his arms around the younger male's body. He had no energy left to stop him. But even if he did, what more can he benefit from him if the past would only repeat itself?

He's ashamed of himself. He truly is.

"Anything that you see fit. You have my permission to leave this place, to leave me too.."

Now it was Jaeyun's turn to pay the price. The price of being a reason for someone losing their soul, their innocence.

From the start, he only had one priority in mind. To survive. To survive for his people. And yet, Sunghoon came into the picture. Oh how Jake decided to fuck it all up.

Sunghoon felt like he could finally be free. Free from current threats, and free from him. Hugging him back as it was the one last time that they're together.

As tears were shed, the sky started to clear up. A bright glow from the moonlight shining on the both of them. Indicating their separation as they have broken up.

"Are you sure about this?"

"Like I said, I’ll be fine." Sunghoon reassured the other male, zipping the bag close as it was the last one.

He gave a smile that didn’t exactly reach his eyes. Looking back at his room and the whole house itself. How he even managed to stay here for over a year.

The younger walked towards the door, about to step out and exit but halted. Turning around to glance at the older.

"I guess this is goodbye.." Sunghoon stated, to which Jaeyun nodded.

"It really is." He replied as he reached out for the younger's hand.

"Although I do hope we could cross paths some other time." Jake shook his palm whilst saying those words. Catching the other male off guard but secretly wishing for that too.

"But for now, I bid you farewell, Park Sunghoon."

"The same goes for you, Sim Jake."

There he goes. Leaving with no regrets.

Though, Park Sunghoon isn’t one to part without knowing what to do afterwards. In fact, he had to contact a dear friend about his intentions.

"Seung-ah, I’ll meet you at that place right away."

The male sighed deeply, shutting the front door close. Sarcastically laughing to himself after everything he had done.

"Of course, a person like me doesn't deserve nice things."

Maybe he could just die, and be reborn into this damn world. Only if his beloved would still live by that time. But their future has yet to be written.

Jaeyun will always remember the way Sunghoon would enjoy the tiny little things that would appear in his path. He will always remember the time they spent together drowning in each other’s affection. And he will always remember the way he’d back away in fear.

As in the end, he really was just a Monster from Hell.
