Chapter 4

It was really cold tonight here in New York, it was nothing like how it is where I'm from. We almost arrive at The Natural History museum where Larry works. We park in the parking lot next to the museum and I slowly get out in awe. The Natural History Museum in San Diego is nothing compared to the one here, it makes it look like a McDonald's.

Larry looks at me and smiles...

"We're here"

He says as he begans to walk towards the stairs of the entrance, we walk up the stairs and we walk through revolving doors. I stay frozen as I see the T-Rex moving on it's display, believe it or not I think a little bit of my saliva fell from my mouth, hahaha.

Larry looks at me and says...

"Told you, you were going to have loads of fun, believe it or not, but in this museum everything comes to life at night, by the way I want you to meet someone"

He begans to run up some stairs, saying....

"Wait here!"

Nicky already left when we arrived so it was just me. I felt a little uneasy, since I realized that shit here woke up at night. I looked around to see a bench in the middle of both staircases, I sat down looking at my surroundings. Everything was moving, even the paintings for Gods sakes.

I looked over at my pocket and busted out my phone, as I was scrolling down the old pictures of my family, one of myself and Christopher at Hawaii appeared....

"Thats wierd,.... I thought I deleted all of his pictures, but I guess I must of missed this one"

I stare at it, we were so happy those days in Hawaii, we were already married for 6 years in this photo and he was so loving to me, that week was our 6th year anniversary. He surprised me with a romantic dinner by the beach and a beautiful diamond necklace.

I realized that all those feelings for him came back, I began to cry uncontrollably. I felt so much pain in my heart I couldn't help but cry fom grief. Suddenly I heard a voice called my name from behind, I looked up behind me and jumped up standing.
It was Larry with a man dressed like an Egyptian Pharaoh, Larry looked at me and asked worridly...

"Are you ok Abigail?"

I stuttered a little as I said...

" am fine La....Larry, couldn't be be....better"

I realized that as I was hyperventilating, and I began to feel like a tunnel was beginning to form in my vision. I placed my hand on my forehead, feeling horribly, Larry realized that I was going to faint, and yelled out my name as he began to run down the corridor to the stair, and down towards me catching me on mid air.

My body completely became weakened, Larry began to slap my cheek slightly, trying to wake me up. 5 minutes later I began to regain consciousness, I slowly opened my eyes and saw Larry and the Egyptian Pharaoh infront of me.

"What happened?"

I say as I sit up slowly infront of the bench. Larry then answered ...

"You fainted hun, luckily I caught you on time, you scared me, your eyes went behind your skull and you were collapsing".

I look at Larry sadly...

"I am so sorry Larry, I did not meant to make a scene, I was.....um...."

I looked down at the phone and turn it on, the photo was still there. I closed my eyes and gulped deeply, Larry leans forward and looks at the picture. I open my eyes and say sadly...

"I thought I erased all the pictures of him but unfortunatly this one was here, and my lingering emotions got the best of me, that is when you saw me crying. I feel so bad Larry, I feel like he took the best of me, I feel totally and completely dead inside"

Larry leans forward to hug me, and I hug him back tightly the tears pour out uncotrollably, Larry then gives me a pat on the back...

"Abigail, Christopher cheated on you with your friend from middle school, he doesn't deserve your pain or tears, just try to relax and forget about him, you deserve the best"

I smile and slowly let go of his arms, and nod, I realized that we were completely rude and look over at the Egyptian guy...

"How rude of us, we haven't been properly introduced ..."

Larry then says....

"Yes ofcourse, Abigail this is Akhmenrah, Akhmenrah this is my cousin Abigail, the one I told you about yesterday"

We look at each other and suddenly I had this weird feeling. As we locked eyes, I placed a hand up for a handshake, saying softly....

"Nice to meet you Ahkmenrah"

Ahkmenrah takes my hand slowly kisses it softly with his lips, without once breaking eye contact. I felt something I haven't felt since I was a school girl, almost blushing, his eyes not once let go of mine.

"Nice to finally meet you,.....Abigail"

I slowly let go of his hand, and I smile softly, as I push back a strand of hair from my face. Larry then speaks..

"Well guys I better get going, I am gonna do a perimeter check"

I then break the eye contact and look at Larry saying...

"Alright Larry see you later"

He smiles at me and Ahkmenrah, then begins to walk away slowly. I look back at Ahkmenrah, which is still staring at me. He smiles softly at me, his deep eyes staring back at me in a way that I can't describe, but all I know is that even if I feel a little uneasy, I still like it.
