The two girls were walking through town, laughing and talking about anything their two minds thought of. The pair were wearing matching yellow sundresses that they had found on sale a while back, but had never worn them.
They told themselves they would save the dresses for a special occasion, but since nothing special was happening recently, they wore the dresses out, courtesy of the more energetic girl, Shiraishi An.
They passed a flower shop, which caught the previously mentioned girls attention. She stopped in her tracks, and her companion, Azusawa Kohane, stopped with her.
"An?" the pigtailed girl questioned.
"hey, Kohane, give me a minute! ill be right back, i promise!" An ran off without much explanation. Kohane didn't question it, and found a nearby bench to sit on.
An was on her mind as she sat, now lonely, on the bench. She thought about how gorgeous she looked in the yellow sundress, and how the sun hit her in a perfect way that made her seem angelic. She thought about how lucky she was to have a girlfriend as great as An. She couldn't have asked for a better companion.
As she sat on the bench, a girl in the flower shop was looking at her through a window, entranced by the shorter girl. An looked away after a minute of staring, and looked around the flower shop. She had seen the store and wanted to buy her wonderful girlfriend some flowers.
However, she was having trouble remembering Kohane's favorite flower. She remembered talking about it with her before, but it slipped her mind.
'Maybe looking around will help jog my memory.'
She didn't wanna leave Kohane sitting outside for too long, so she was speed walking around the shop, looking for her girlfriend's favorite flower. She came across a section, and that seemed to have successfully helped An remember.
'Sunflowers!'
An thought about when she had first learned about that, before the two had even started dating.
The two girls sat in the cafe in street sekai, enjoying the comfortable silence that lay between them.
"Hey, Kohane!"
"Eh? Yes, An?"
"I'm just curious, what's your favorite flower?"
The blonde girl pondered for a moment, her chin resting in her hands. "That's a hard question. I love a lot of flowers, they're so pretty. But... sunflowers are just gorgeous."
"Noted!" An grinned at her female companion. Kohane smiled back.
An smiled at the memory, picking out some sunflowers for her beloved. Sunflowers had always reminded her of Kohane, in a way. They were gorgeous flowers, just like Kohane was a gorgeous girl.
And not to mention, sunflowers were An's favorite too. Just like how Kohane is her favorite.
She finished out picking some sunflowers, and made her way to the cashier to purchase them. She handed them over the counter and the cashier made conversation.
"Buying these for someone?"
An laughed sheepishly, flustered. "Ah, yeah! For my partner."
The cashier smiled as they handed the flowers back to An as she paid for them in return. "That's cute. Have a nice day, ma'am!"
"Of course, you too!" An smiled and walked out of the flower shop. She hummed happily. 'they were nice.'
She looked around for Kohane, and quickly found the bench she was sitting on once again. She stared at her again.
An thought about Kohane. She thought about how gorgeous she was and how lucky she was to have a girlfriend like Kohane. She was the happiest girl on the planet with Kohane, for sure.
She smiled to herself and made her way over the the bench, standing in front of Kohane and startling her. She seemed to be in deep thought just moments before.
"Ah, An!" Kohane smiled softly.
"Hey! I hope I didn't take too long..!" An laughed awkwardly.
"No, not at all!"
"Good! Now, here!" She held out the bunch of sunflowers out for Kohane to take, and it caught her off guard.
"For me? Are you sure?"
"Well, of course!" An smiled wider, if possible. "Gorgeous flowers for a gorgeous girl!"
"Aha..!" Kohane laughed as she flushed red. "Thank you, An!"
"Mhm! Now let's go eat somewhere! I heard there was a new ramen place around here!" An exclaimed as she pulled Kohane off the bench by her free hand. She started to excitedly drag her down the sidewalk, happy as ever.
Kohane let herself be dragged, by the one person she loved most.
