Henceforward, the Christmas morning arrived. The town is still in their deep sleep after celebrating the whole night full of fun but not for Fatima whose night was ended in a rumble and chose to cry herself to sleep. She got herself too occupied with her own problems she failed to see her best friend's hundreds of messages, from greeting her for Christmas to those panicking messages she sent in a haste as she's home alone with Bianca for the night.
Fatima woke up to these kinds of messages and it successfully made her laugh as she has never seen her best friend being all frantic and nervous around someone she likes, not even when she dated Thayfa. It's a miracle, if Fatima was to asked, that Yumi is showing too much interest and attention. She is carrying her own dilemmas about her own love life, but whenever she sees her best friend trying so hard to break the barrier and fighting against her inner fears, as her best friend, who wouldn't feel proud?
Sitting up on the bed, she last saw Yumi's post on social media with a photo of Bianca munching on those cream puffs they made together. Bianca is wearing the brightest smile of the night and Yumi's caption made it clearer for Fatima that these two are falling in love with each other. The caption Yumi wrote stated, "Spending Christmas Eve with this wonderful woman. Thank you for staying with me. Love u." This may sound casual to any other social media users, yet Fatima noted this isn't the normal Yumi as she normally posts without captions.
Fatima laughs at this, and she places her comment, "Why didn't I know about this Yumi Garcia? You didn't tell me you're celebrating Christmas with your girl."
To her surprise, her phone suddenly rings and it's Yumi she wants to tease the most right now. She answers but she lets Yumi talk first, rustling from the other line, "Fat... Are you awake?"
"Obviously I am. And why are you whispering?" Fatima giggled and went on preparing for her things to be brought back to the countryside.
Yumi walked out of her room and speaks louder from the living room, "B is still sleeping in my room so I have to carefully walk out."
"Great, how you're sleeping together casually." Fatima hooted.
Yumi curled herself in the couch and she mumbles, "I haven't slept yet. I couldn't sleep at all. B seems to be in deep sleep and she looked comfortable but I just can't."
"Then what kind of mess did you do that you were not able to sleep?" Fatima crossed her arms, nervous of what her best friend is about to disclose.
Yumi buried her face under her palm and shyly confessed, "Nothing bad really happened. It's just that... I don't know. My head's going to explode!"
Yumi suddenly started whining and grumbling nonstop that Fatima has to calm her, "Relax, can you? I won't understand what happened if you keep whining there. I'll hear you out, just talk slowly and calm down. I bet she's still sleeping, right? So tell me everything."
Thus she began explaining from the start to the end. She went into details one by one, not forgetting a single feeling she felt throughout the night. She told her best friend how she loved the forehead kiss Bianca gave her, she told her best friend how she wanted more when she planted a kiss on her cheeks, and how it extremely frustrated her when the neighbors suddenly came out of their houses and broke them apart from the embrace. Yumi exposed everything and opened it all to her best friend.
Fatima's smirks got wider at each word Yumi blabbered. She can imagine her blushing from top to bottom while she's exposing herself. She's enjoying her explanations too much she didn't bother cutting her off to question her until she's done. Yumi may have been in love before but it's only now that Fatima's hearing her this frantic and anxious over a simple but affectionate kiss and if she can compare it with her relationship with Thayfa back in the days, this situation she's having with Bianca is just on another level.
