6 years. It's been 6 years since you have last saw your friends and family. It's been 6 years since you have last seen him. After finishing highschool you left Japan and went to abroad for higher studies,which was also your dream.
When you left Mikey was still in the gang and everything was a mess. You left the day when the last and final battle with takemitchy. You didn't want to leave Mikey but you had other plans. That time Mikey was also distant,cold and wasn't the same anymore after going through everything.You have lost contacts with everyone except for Hina. She told you pretty much about the recent years but because of the time difference and busy schedule you guys also didn't talk that much.
Now you were at the airport. You took a deep breath taking in the air of your motherland. You have missed it so much. You saw your parents. You hugged them and had an emotional moment.
"It's been so long y/n" it was Hina. She has grown up in a such a elegant woman. "Oh my God! Hina,I have missed you a lot" you said and hugged each other. "How did you know I was coming?" You asked. "Well I met aunty at the grocery store and there she told me. I was hurt that you didn't tell me" Hina said. "I'm so sorry. I just didn't want to tell anyone except for my family and also it was a sudden visit" you said. "It's ok". Hina smiled.
"Come on we should head home. I have cooked your favourites" your mom said. "Yeah I miss your cooking" you said. "Hina are you gonna come with us?" I asked. "No. That's what I'm gonna talk to you about. I know you are tired but can we have a moment?" Hina asked and I excused myself and went to a corner area. "What do you wanna say?" I asked. "Well you know It's about Mikey" she said and my heart started to beat faster hearing his name after so many years. "You know I told you that he has become a professional racer and he has a game today. I have told takemitchy about your arrival and he asked to bring you. Would you like to meet him?" Hina asked.
For a moment I didn't know what to do. I mean I do want to meet him. I really do but I don't know like after all these years does he remember me? I know I left him when he was having a hard time and I should have been there for him. I'm scared. "It's ok. If you don't want to. I understand" Hina gave me a reassuring smile. "No. I want to go. I-I want to meet him" you said and Hina nodded.

You went to the game arena where the race was held. There was so many people cheering. Hina and you sat on the VIP area since Takemitchy is friends with Mikey so he had those privileges. Anyways,"Oh my God! Yn. How have you been?" Takemitchy came and hugged you. "I have been good how are you?" You asked. "I'm really good and sorry I asked Hina to bring you here since you just arrived. You must be tired".he said "No I'm really fine" the game started. So you guys sat down to watch.
"You know Mikey has been winning the championship for these last 6 years now. He has become a star. After disbanding toman he started doing races. I'm sure he's gonna win today too. He's still the invincible Mikey with or without a gang" Takemitchy said proudly. You smiled.
But they don't know that you have checked the news about Mikey as a champion on races. He has become famous now. You have seen pictures online how much he has changed.
The game ended and Mikey is the winner.
You were really happy to see him win. Everyone was cheering on him the crowed was going crazy over him. Then after sometime you saw Mikey came everyone was congratulating him. "Our invincible Mikey is here. Congrats Mikey" Takemitchy said and Hina also congratulated him. "Thanks man. Btw where are the others?" He asked. "Oh they said they're gonna come at the after party they were kinda busy" Takemitchy said and Mikey nodded.
"Congratulations Mikey" you said and he looked at your direction with complete surprise. He had no idea that you were here. "Yn....when-when did you come back? It's been so many years" He asked. "I actually came back today and Hina told me that you had a game and I wanted to see you..." You were nervous. "Oh I'm glad that you came" he gave you a smile. "I'm really happy for you Mikey how far you have come I really am" you said looking at him almost with teary eyes. Mikey also had the same expression but he cleared his throat. "Thank you". He said.
He was rather acting a bit different. He didn't even hugged you once. You thought maybe he was tired so you didn't say anything. Suddenly someone came and hugged Mikey from behind. It was a girl. "I'm so sorry that I'm late baby. I wanted to come early but I had an emergency meeting so I couldn't and congratulations on your win baby" she said and gave Mikey a kiss on the lips. Mikey smiled at her "It's ok baby. I'm just happy you are here now"
You stood there dumbfounded. You didn't know what was going on. "Who is she?" You asked Hina. She looked at you with a sad expression. "That's Mikey's fiance. They got engaged last year. I'm so sorry that I didn't tell you earlier and sorry to bring you here I'm so stupid" Hina said. "Why are you apologizing? It's not like we had something and come on it's been so many years and I was the who left him and he deserves someone better"you said with a smile but seeing that Infront of you it broke your heart.
"Yn if you want you can come to the after party" Mikey said. "No-no I'm good. I-I should probably head home. It was nice seeing you racing. Oh and congratulations to both of you" you said pointing towards Mikey and his fiance. Mikey half smiled. "Honey who is she? I have never seen her before?" His fiance asked. "Oh she's yn an old friend" Mikey said and you smiled. Yes an old friend.
You wanted to talk to him. You had so many unfinished things to talk to him about but now there's no point. It was over. You don't really blame yourself you just blame fate. Sometimes some people aren't meant to be together.
Little did you know Mikey wanted to cry,scream and yell at you for leaving him. He wanted you to be with him. He never wanted anyone else in his life. You were his first everything. He had so many questions but guess he will never get those answers. He waited for you untill his grandfather and shinichiro begged him to get settled. He knew you would come back one day but maybe you were too late.
It didn't come out the way I wanted maybe bc I haven't written anything for so long but here it is😃. I have another one in my mind so I'm gonna write that one soon😊
