7. WHY DIDN'T I RECOGNISE HER...???!!!

Monami was in the OT. Karan was sitting outside the OT and Rachit was beside him. Karan hadn't said anything the whole time but he was shaking forward and backward in a worry and nervousness.

Rachit was confused to see his condition as Karan never showed any emotions to anyone... But he didn't know that it was different this time.

At that time... Faizi, Sid and their CO came there almost running. Karan was so in shock that he didn't even acknowledge his senior's presence near him.

Their senior nodded at Faizi and Sid, they also nodded at him and both sat beside Karan. Faizi said...

Faizi (Putting a hand on Karan's shoulder) - Karan, humari taraf dekhiye.

Sid (Trying to talk to him) - Bro, kuch to bol yaar...!!!

Rachit (Worriedly) - Karan Bro jabse yaha aaye hai Di ko lekar, tabse aise hi silently bethe hue hai, Sid Bro. Kuch bhi nahi bol rahe hai, kisise baat nahi kar rahe hai. Inhone pehle aise to kabhi react nahi kiya...!!!

Chief (Putting a hand on his head) - Shergill, hua kya hai? Main janta hu ki, Miss Mahajan ko goli lagi hai par iska tumpe zaroorat se kuch zyada hi asar hota hua nazar aa raha hai mujhe. Batao beta, kya hua hai?

And it was enough for Karan to breakdown completely. He started to sob silently. He's tears were flowing continuously. He just said two words...

Karan (Looking at the OT while still shading tears) - MY PIKACHU...!!!

All were shocked except their CO. Sid was going to ask something but CO got a call and he left from there in a hurry after telling them to keep him posted about Monami's health. Karan was still shading tears silently. Sid turned him towards himself and asked...

Sid (Very calmly) - Kya... Monami hi... teri vo... letter wali hai?

Karan (Holding Sid by his shoulders) - Yaar main use... Vo mere hi samne thi... Main use kaise... Main use pehchan nahi paya yaar...!!! Why didn't I recognise her...???!!!

Rachit sat near Karan's knees and held his hands. He said...

Rachit (Trying to make him understand) - Bro, relax. Jaise aapko pata nahi chala ke vo kon hai, vaise hi unhe bhi to nahi pata chala hoga na ke aap kon hai, hai na...???

Karan (Nodding his head in negative) - USE PATA HAI KE MAIN HI USKA MR. T-REX HU...!!!

Sid/Rachit/Faizi (In a shock) - WHAT...???!!! PAR KAISE...???!!!

Karan (To Rachit) - Tune mujhse pucha tha na ke main achanak se kyu ruk gaya? (Rachit nodded) Vo isliye ke usne mujhe Karan nahi Mr. T-Rex bulaya tha. Vo janti hai ke vo mujhe letters likha karti thi, guys...!!! Par kaise... Mujhe vahi nahi pata...!!!

Rachit (Looking at the OT) - Ab is baat ka jawaab to Di hi de sakti hai. Hume unke hosh me aaneka wait karna hoga.

It's been two hours that doctors have taken Monami inside for the emergency treatment of hers. The boys were just talking, at that time, the OT door opened and a doctor came outside followed by the nurses. Karan hurriedly got up and went near the doctor but before he can ask anything, the doctor said...

Doctor (With a little smile) - Don't worry, Officer. She's out of danger now. Jis condition me vo aayi thi, mujhe to dar tha ke hum unhe bacha bhi payege ya nahi...!!! Magar lagta hai ke jeene ki bahot chah thi unhe, isiliye maut se lad aayi. Hum unhe thodi der me ek dusre ward me shift kar rahe hai, aap chahe to tab unse mil sakte hai. Please, take care of her and excuse me...!!!

The doctor left and after listening this, Karan's legs gave out and he sat on the bench with a thud. He said...

Karan (To himself happily) - Vo thik hai... Vo thik hai...!!! (To the trio) Guys, vo thik hai. Vo mujhse dur nahi jayegi...!!!

Faizi (Taking a deep breath and hugging Karan) - Ek baar ko to hum dar hi gaye the tumhari ye haalat dekhke, Karan...!!! Hum khush hai tumhare liye ke tumhe finally vo ladki mil gayi, jise tumne na jaane kabse chahna shuru kar diya tha...!!!

Sid (Smilingly) - Use to kisi tarah tere baare me pata chal gya but tu use kab ye batanewala hai ke tu bhi use pehchan chuka hai?

Rachit (Excitedly) - Are haa... She's to your Miss Pikachu na...!!! Tab to mujhe abse unhe Di nahi Bhabhi bulana padega na...!!! Thank God, meri honewali Bhabhi ek terrorist nahi nikli varna to...!!!

Listening this, the other trio started to laugh. They were feeling better after that chaotic and hectic day. Faizi said...

Faizi (To Karan) - Karan chalo... Atleast coffee pilo because hum jante hai ke jab tak tum Monami se baat nahi kar lete tab tak tumhare gale se ek nivala tak nahi utarnewala. Monami se miloge to use kaisa lagega ke uski wajah se tumne apna dhyan nahi rakha...!!!

Karan just nodded and got up. They all entered inside the cafeteria and took their seats after ordering for coffees and a cheeze sandwich for Rachit, ofcourse. He was like "Karan Bro, vo aapki honewali Biwi hai, meri nahi, to main to kha hi sakta hu...!!!"

All laughed after listening this. After a while, they were just done with their coffees and sandwich and went towards the OT but they met a nurse halfway and she informed them that Monami has been shifted to another ward and they can meet her now.

They thanked her and took the details of the ward. They hurriedly went towards that ward but met their CO in between. Their CO signalled Karan to go to Monami and the other trio should stay with him. After Karan left from there, their CO said...

Chief (In a serious tone) - Hume Miss Mahajan ki family ko inform karna hoga is baare me. (To Rachit) Tumhare pass Miss Mahajan ki details hai so, just inform her family about this incident. Just tell them that... Miss Mahajan abhi thik hai, to koi tension na le. Vaise bhi Karan ka ab ye personal matter hai, let him handle in his own way.

The trio nodded their heads in affirmative and the CO left from there. They decided to give Karan and Monami some space so, they went back to the cafeteria.
