1384 Ming Dynasty of China about 3 months after the film events in the cartoons. She was born in 1368, and Li Shang was born in 1365. They are now in the year of 1384, Li Shang is about 19 years old and Mulan is about 17 years. Mulan was born July 27th, 1368. (you know just this past year my second niece also has the day for her birthday. Up until now I used to be the only person in my family except for when my maternal grandmother was alive to have a birthday in July.) Li Shang's birthday is January 11, 1365. Li Shang and Fa Mulan had indeed grown closer in the last previous month upon their mission with the daughters of the their Emperor. (I have no idea who is portraying love action Mulan in Descendants version but she and Lonnie do look alike and she is next to Lonnie during the coronation as Lonnie's blue stripe at the ends of all her dress sleeves is seen poking through into the scene as  well as one of her pink waist straps another thing that Lonnie keeps with either dress she has on. It doesn't change. I wish I knew the actual actress's name from the coronation scene in the previous chapter) (I'll assume it late July early August cause I feel like Mulan II may have been from start of May to early July just a guess because of lush green scenery but I could be wrong.)) August 1st, 1384 two months after the first movie and one month after the second and their unofficially movie Mulan told Mushu to keep an eye on her family members for all the mischief hr caused in the sequel. He readily agreed to stay behind and Li Shang asked her Father if she could camping with him for a few nights up in the mountains. Mulan's Father agreed. Mulan though to pacify her Grandmother's concerns brought her family cricket along but not in a cage he sat on her shoulder as Mulan rode Khan her horse she also held Shan Yu's sword on belt hanging off her right side unaware a surviving ally had found his bird and they were looking for the power jewel hidden in the hilt of it. When the were at last beyond the imperial city at last Mulan spoke aloud. "You know that wasn't an official marriage I hardly think a guardian of mine has the right to marry us don't you think, Shang?"

"Yeah, Mulan." Shang responds. "It wasn't official."

"So let's refrain from all the romantic stuff and start over slowly, and I will start I am sorry I lied to you about being a woman and you have had every right to ignore me after such a dirty lie from the bottom of my heart." There were tears in her eyes.

"I regret not listening to you, Mulan and I am sorry for not believing you, you and your friends were called to my camp by destiny something I should have been grateful, an energetic and determined loyal person the other soldiers finally looked up to beside me. You heard a call and took the opportunity twice to save many lives including my own twice." He said tears streaming down his face he paid one life debt the second was unpaid recalling how Mulan stepped in to prevent him from being killed and blamed for her own erratic actions in the mountains herself and taking the blow himself from Shan Yu. He didn't need to see to know how many times Mulan saved his life. He could hear her actions and her words before he scrambled to his feet and some of the Emperor's remaining guards helped him out before the temple blew up exploding.

"I put you in a second danger during that." Mulan admitted. "I didn't think that plan through very well. I have no doubt the Emperor would say the same thing to me. Damage of a building is something that is easily built up again but losing you would crush other soldiers' hearts. Part of my foolish and erractic behavior comes from the fact I was born in the year of the monkey."

"My year's the Snake." Shang informed her.

"We weren't supposed to be a match, but we can be if we can agree to make it work from both sides."

"My chances of me understanding you are less than your own of understanding me." Shang tells her softly and pecks her lightly on her left cheek. She smiled and kissed him back on the same side.

"How unfortunate that most of your unlucky numbers happened to be in the very dates of your birth." Mulan commented.

"I know I don't pay attention to that side of things at all, it's a silly superstition." Shang spoke as he rode on his own horse right beside her. "The only thing I like is my one lucky flower."
