Actaea (Act-TAY-Ah) one of the Nereids. She is one of the many sisters of Neptune's wife. Her name meant Seashells and she was an obsessive of them and the collections she made of them. She had vibrant snowy white hair, her skin incredibly dark nut not dark enough to be black as the night itself. She was a bra that attached to her shoulders that was sunshine yellow matching her mermaid tail. Her eyes were a sea blue filled of the summer skies. She wore a golden protective bangle on her right arm.
This was her preferred appearance she hated shapeshifting and found it very very weird. She is on of the 100 daughters born to Nereus and Doris an Oceanid (pulled straight from Greek Mythology not anybody else. She is fond of and can be found singing and frolicking with dolphins on the waves.

Now you are probably wondering how in the world I have so many sisters part of my family likes to live as humans and the other half a hybrid between that and fish so us who like being half fish we sorta produce like fish and have loads of kids at one time. Now Ariel's 7 sisters make sense. Tritea's egg took an extra long time for her to finally chew her way out Athena was in her room alone for days when you have 8 kids you need several hours to bond with each of them. You can probably it took her years to nurse all of them, I am pretty sure some Mothers in our family hired nursing partners. (This is sort of based off both fish reproduction and the life of a Mother enchinda an egg laying mammal that still has to nurse her young herself)
But I am getting ahead of myself aren't I? And contrary to popular belief some of us enjoy some meat like plankton on salads and clams not just seaweed seals we rescue out of nets on occasion present us with raw fish as thank yous and it's considered rude not to take it and eat your gift that's a free meal. So I participate in those gifts. She heard a moaning it was a Mediterranean Monk seal in amongst the cliff rocks.

"Medi?" I asked she looked up at me with surprised eyes. She was all brown expect for her underbelly and she was 2 meters long from the tip of her copycat pug nose to her tail. She weighed no less than 250 kgs. She was only just 5 years old Mediterranean Monk Seal a species that would soon be severely critically endangered in our nowadays' time, friends. Her nickname Medi was being used by Actaea nymph of the shores despite her name actually meaning seashells. The seal's name was short for Mediterranean. Actaea was like a surrogate Momma to her the Mom was unable to finish nursing before 17 weeks were up and so the seal was hand nursed till she could fend for herself the seal came to visit its surrogate Mommy quite often.
"I love you so much Medi, you know that's true," sighed Actaea in her solemn songs. "But you have your ocean life to live out now, so take my presence with you out to your mate and speak of my memories.
Here in the Aegean waves amongst the dolphins and the Mediterranean parrotfish and the rainbow wrasses you'll find me protecting your kind as I am a Guardian of Dolphins and Monk seals alike.
People paint pictures of me with you beside me. My duty given to me by my uncle here on this side of the world protect the marine mammals dear niece of our ocean realms from sailors and farmers alike I take my job so seriously yes I do.
I risk encountering a great white shark now and then being territorial as usual as it works its migratory path away from my home. The Aegean sea is a very peaceful place when the shark frenzy is all said and done. Sometimes I catch a ride to visit the relatives I have that dwell in Atlantica beneath the Atlantic ocean.
Here in the Aegean sea there are ruins galore to frolic right through such sights to behold.
Common dolphins and bottlenose dolphins squeak their hellos at me as I swim through this wonderful underwater world. It is a very magical place and yes there is at least one shipwreck in this watery sea off the east of Greece coastline
