Author's note: Since it's October AKA Halloween Month, and that I'm way behind schedule, I decided to put my main story on a temporary hold. So all this month and the first two weeks of November (depending), I will be writing for Part 1 of the Scary Monsters Halloween Event. I hope you'll enjoy it. P.S., this event story will include the Fairy that's set to appear in Chapter/Book 5 of the Main Story. So... mini spoilers?
Ladies and Gentlemen. Boys and girls of every age. Wouldn't you like to hear something strange? Come along and hear the tale of the Seven Monsters of Sage's Island. These monsters rise once a year on a very special time of year on the island, where they entice their guests through sweets, games, dance, and anything to leave them waiting for the next surprise. Whether it would bring them laughter or screams is anyone's guess. Why not take the chance and roll the dice underneath the full moon in the dead of night? Every year these Seven Monsters never failed to entertain and scare their guests with their tricks. Never did they leave a guest unsatisfied. And today... Oh dear listeners, today, on the day when the monsters are said to rise from the shadows, they bring in one very special addition to their entourage. A new Monster that will make her first debut. Though small and shy, she will stand high above the crowd and shine like a star. Everyone, one and all! Make way for a very special girl.
Bow down and hail to the Witch Queen!
Willow was in class as usual. Dutifully taking notes and making sure she didn't miss anything her professor said. It seemed like an ordinary day. At least that's what Willow believed. The day before, she couldn't help but notice that a lot of her schoolmates were getting excited about something. Even her friends were becoming antsy with anticipation. She assumed that there must be some type of festival coming up as she also saw several students walking around with various supplies and discussing where to put certain booths. Willow wasn't sure what was going on, but if it made her friends happy, then she was sure it would be another joyous time to spend with them. Willow let out a small giggle as she finished writing in her notebook just as the bell rang throughout the school, signalling that class was over for the day.
"Ahhh... Another boring day of school over and done with." Grim sighed as he stretched out his limbs. "Hey, Willow! Let's hurry home to the dorm. We gotta get back to that game we were playin' yesterday!" Without waiting for an answer, Grim jumped over their desk and began scurrying for the door. Willow couldn't help but giggle at the feline monster. It seemed he's never low on energy when it comes to things he likes, when "boring" stuff wasn't involved anyway. Her Fairies flew out from her schoolbag and Rosebell shook her head as their dorm mate.
"Honestly, with that attitude, how is Grim expecting to become a top-tier Mage?" She asked.
"Who even knows at this point? What I wanna know is why he wants to keep playing that game when he keeps on losing?" Ember asked. She and the rest of the Fairies all let out a laugh as they turned to the more graceful, elegant Fairy amongst them who was currently helping Willow pack up. "Especially with Eira winning every time." The latter glanced at her friends and cracked a smile.
"You were always good at games, Eira." Zephyrine said, happily.
"I bet it's because of your natural cold, apathetic face." Ember teased. Marina lightly tapped the Fire Fairy's shoulder for that one. Though Eira merely shrugged and kept her smile. "I just believe it best to remain calm during such activities when everyone else is getting inflamed with their emotions."
"Pfft, so Grim has the worst poker face imaginable." Rosebell said.
"Almost like you, Ember." Zephyrine pointed out.
