i'm back back back again! so many things have been happening in my life. i got a job and into grad school, both of which i have just quit, so i should hopefully get to post more.

September 2017

Stepping onto the private jet was probably the most luxurious thing I'd ever done before.

When Harry said he wanted me to go with him on tour, I was hesitant at first. These last few months, Harry slowly opened up to me more and more about his stepfather. He was hesitant at first to express his feelings and fears about what the future would hold for him and his family, but once Harry became comfortable, I was his closest confidant about those things, and I was pretty sure I was the only person he talked to so intimately about his stepdad and how he felt after Robin's passing.

So we were flying to Switzerland. Just the two of us. No assistants, no managers, no work, we were going to Harry's first tour destination early to spend some alone time together before things really got crazy.

I won't lie, I had my doubts about this trip. Harry knew that I wasn't a huge fan of some of the members of his team, namely a certain assistant and manager, but we didn't talk about it much. There were moments where it hung over us like a cloud, but it hadn't been much of a problem recently. Mostly because I went out of my way to avoid Emily and Jeff, but that sounded like progress to me.

Only now I was going to be with them 24/7. I tried to keep my distance whenever I went to one of Harry's events, and thankfully Emily kept to herself too. After I spoke to her at Harry's childhood home a few months ago, she meddled less. She glared at me and made snide remarks when Harry wasn't around, but it was better than before, so I ignored her childish games.

Still, Harry could tell I was nervous about being away from home for so long, so he came up with the idea of this mini vacation before the tour began. "We'll stay in a nice hotel, we'll go sightseeing, we'll stay in bed as late as we want," he'd told me. Each suggestion was made with a kiss to my inner thigh, so even if I was opposed, I would've agreed to just about anything.

Harry never told me we would be taking a private jet, though, so when we left for the airport, but not for one of the large international ones, I was very confused. I kept trying to ask him questions on the drive over, and again when he pulled into the parking lot of a small airport. Was it to avoid being seen together? I didn't think so. We'd gotten around that issue before. We would normally enter an airport separately and join back up together in first class, acting like strangers who wound up next to each other. As we left Harry's place, I figured it would be the same, but this was not LAX, and we were immediately greeted by flight staff and ushered onto the plane.

That's when it hit me that we were taking a private plane and not a commercial one. I couldn't quite believe that he splurged on something like this for just the two of us. And that he didn't tell me; I lugged Cher's crate with me for nothing.

"I can't believe you chartered a private jet for us," I said, my eyes taking everything in. It was just like what I was used to seeing in movies and TV shows: plush leather chairs with a table between some of them, lots of space to roam around in, wood panels, and cushions on the small sectional across from one of the clusters of seats. There was even a doggy bed at the foot of the sofa for Cher, a detail I'm sure Harry personally requested. The whole thing was incredible, and just what I needed before this tour.

"Do I even want to know how much you spent on this?" I asked him when he excitedly led me through a secret door that led to a bedroom.

Harry shook his head and took me by the hand. "Think of it as an early Christmas present. A really early Christmas present. And a thank you for flying. I know you don't like to go far or for a long time because of Cher and the studio. I just want everything to be as comfortable for you as possible."
