When I woke up, Chucky was kissing me and I smiled, and kissed him back, "good morning doll," Chucky said when he pulled back.

"Good morning," I said sleepily. I sat up and got dressed, and sat back on my bed, when David came in, "hello David" I said, smiling at him.

"Maria" David said, as he passed me my pill, I took it and showed him. I stood up and grabbed Chucky but everything just wanted to lay down and do nothing. "You coming out today?" David asked.

"I can't stay in here forever David, and those pills will keep me pretty compliant so I can't kill anyone if that's what you're worried about, I don't even want to leave the room, but I'm hungry," I said, David nodded and left. I fixed my hair "let's leave, just ignore the stares and people will say nasty things so don't kill them" I said, looking at Chucky from the mirror.

"I promised I wouldn't," Chucky said, I smiled and I left. Everyone looked at me as I went to the eating area, I sat down and ate the porridge, and everyone stayed away like I would attack or kill them.

"I'm gonna miss my group of friends," I said to Chucky as I ate, I felt his hand on my leg giving it a reassuring squeeze, "thanks doll. I know but human interaction is a huge thing about being human" I said, and let out a sigh.

When Angela came over "can you see me?" Angela asked.

"Yes Ang I can," I said, smiling up at her, when Claire came over.

"Angela, let's go somewhere else, we don't want to talk to her, she may kill you next," Claire said.

"I had a manic episode, Claire, it happens. They took my comfort item from me and I grew manic, I didn't plan to kill anyone" I snapped, annoyed that she'd think I'd risk my life. "I was supposed to get out at the end of the year, but I just screwed that up and now they've upped my meds so even coming out here is exhausting so even thinking of killing I don't have the energy to think about it. I'm not a risk because if I was Dr. Foley would've sent me back to Lochmoor or hell, maybe even jail," I said, and continued to eat as she walked away.

When I was done I just walked around, before heading out for some fresh air, they were reluctant to allow me out but they didn't stop me. I walked the trails and Chucky told me everything I've missed the last four years with Tiffany and the kids.

"When we get out of here the two of you need to get married Chucky," I said as I made my way back to the asylum.

"I know and I do want to marry her, but whenever we plan to get married something happens," Chucky said.

"I know, but it's finally winter, and we'll leave as humans, so you can finally get married," I said, Chucky nodded before going back into doll mode as I went inside.

"Maria, I'd like to see you," Foley said, I nodded and followed him to his office. "I'd like to take blood samples randomly throughout your stay just to make sure you have the meds in your system," Foley said as the door closed behind me.

"Okay, but is it possible to lower the dosage just a bit, it's hard to do anything," I said.

"Depends on your readings, we'll try this one for the next two weeks and if it stays as it should with a normal human then we'll talk about lowering it," Foley said, as I sat down and allowed him to take blood.

"Do I have to stay here? Or can I go back out there?" I asked.

"You stay here until we get the results," Foley said, I nodded and just lightly played with Chucky's hair as he left. After twenty minutes he came back, "it's showing you still have the meds in your system" Foley said.

"Of course it does, I don't go back on my promises, and we did make a deal so expect me to hold up my end if you hold up yours," I said.

"What exactly is this deal I so-called agreed to?" Foley asked.

"I agreed to not to kill anyone while at Harrogate, that I'd take my meds and not rush them out of my system, as long as I could keep Chucky but the second he's taken from me I'd consider the deal void and everything's fair game, and you agreed to it, you said the words I understand. I'll withhold my end of it, as long as Chucky is by my side no one can take him from me, he is mine. I won't fight you on anything, do the therapy including the electroshock if you want but Chucky is mine and I'll fight to keep him if I have to I've already shown that" I said.

"Very well, as long as you do as you have to, you can keep Chucky," Foley said.

"Thank you," I said, smiling at him. "Now we have a group session so shall we go," I said, as I stood up, he stood up as well and we went to our room, I sat down, as everyone stared at me.

"So yesterday was an eventful day, Maria's doll is a calming tool that when it was taken from her caused her to have a manic episode so we have upped her medication to help her. That being said, we will not be taking Chucky from her as it will most likely cause another episode" Foley said.

"Do you really believe she should stay here and not be transferred back? I mean she killed a nurse in front of everyone here, we all saw it" Claire said.

"She's very sick Claire, but I do believe we can help her here. And if she kills anyone else then we will transfer her back to Lochmoor, but I have full faith we have found out the right medication for her to help with her schizophrenia, while Daniel's death was a tragedy she wasn't in her right state of mind, and now she's back. She's been here for three years and hasn't had an episode since being sent to Lochmoor, and now I'm positive she won't have another one, and we'll be taking her bloodwork to make sure everything is going good just to make sure everyone is safe" Foley said, I tuned them out as they continued to argue if I was safe to be there, that by the end I just wanted to leave.

So when it was eventually over I left and grabbed some food, before heading to my room and laid down in bed, with my head on Chucky's chest as he played with my hair. "Hopefully by the end of the year we'll be out of here I'm so done with everyone," I said.

"I know doll, but at least now you have me with you," Chucky said, I smiled.

"Yeah I'm glad you're here," I said, as I closed my eyes.

"Maria just filter it, this isn't you and you know it, you're usually so energetic but this has brought your energy down to zero," Chucky said.

"Chucky I can't you, heard him, he'll be doing random blood tests and if he finds out I filtered it then he'll take you and I can't lose you," I said. Chucky kissed the top of my head.

"Then sleep my love," Chucky said, I nodded and allowed sleep to take me not able to stay up with the medication wanting me to sleep.

Good day,

I am sorry for not updating this past Saturday (5/25/2024), I have ended up coming down with a cold, I guess that's what happens when you work with children🙃🤣. That being said I will update another chapter on Thursday and then again on Saturday as a way to keep on track and hopefully finish this book by the end of August, then I am planning to take a little break from writing as I have been burnt out though I love writing, I don't have any ideas and on top of all that I have a friend who is looking for help with her own original book that is going up on a different website though she doesn't know which yet or if she even wants to do it
