Waking up to a message from Lou was a nice surprise. I hadn't heard from him for a couple of days, and he had ignored my attempts at reaching out.
I had a busy day ahead of me, Mondays always are the busiest and I had a few meetings to attend regarding a few Christmas markets that where already using our products and were ordering more. This was a great result for us as a business and it was important to be hands on with these guys.
I quickly sent a reply before setting off on my way to work.
Harry - I know you're sorry. We will talk this evening xxx
It wasn't much, but I was still pretty hurt. The thing was that my ex would cheat on me often. I thought we was it, the happy ever after but we obviously weren't. It all fell apart when I came home early from work. I had walked in making my way to the kitchen to make a drink, thinking I was alone as he was meant to be at work. Something caught my attention; I went upstairs to hear the shower running. I thought he had just finished early.
When I walked into the bathroom my whole world froze, there he was on his knees sucking his best mate off. Like his mate that I welcomed into our home on many occasions, that would join us on nights out. It turned out that this had been going on for quite some time. I left that day never went back. I was heartbroken and felt stupid for not seeing what was going on under my nose.
I never speak about what happened, guess I'm too embarrassed, but I think I need to open up to Louis, I need him to realise why I was so upset when he told me, and how difficult it's been for me to reach out. Just for him to ignore me.
I needed to focus on my day, putting all that to one side, I arrived at my first of many meetings.
The meeting had been a success and i needed to give the good news to Luke who had been on pins all morning.
"It went great Luke; they want to increase their order by 25%. Seems that the markets are in full swing this year." We were affected greatly by the last couple of years. COVID had closed many of our riveling companies and we were very lucky to stay afloat.
"Perfect, you're doing great mate, ring me again after the next meeting"
The day pretty much continued like that, the orders were increasing, and things were starting to look up.
I arrived home around 7pm, it had been a long day but definitely a welcomed distraction.
Harry- Just back home, I'm going to jump in the shower and make some food. Am i okay to Facetime you once I'm done? xxx
We used to facetime at least once a day, now we were lucky if we sent a text message. I needed this sorted, no matter what the outcome.
Louis- Yes that would be great, see you soon xxx
I quickly showered and ate; I just made a quick dinner of pasta and sauce wanting to get this chat underway.
Checking my appearance probably more times than I should, I made my way over to the sofa. getting myself comfortable before selecting Louis on my phone. patently waiting for him to pick up.
Suddenly it answered and there on the screen was the blue-eyed boy. He looked so handsome.
"Hi Lou, you look good" I wanted to say how much i wanted to pounce on him though this was not the time.
"Look, I'm so sorry Haz, I'm sorry for that night, I'm sorry for being distant, I'm sorry for ignoring you, I'm sorry for everything. It was me that was in the wrong and i punished you for it. That was very wrong of me.
"Lou, please I need you to listen to me ok." explaining my reasons for being so affected. I told him everything. tears flowing from both of us by the time I had finished. "This is why it hurt so much Lou. I know we aren't committed to each other, but it just brought back so many memories and fears. I can't go through that again.
We sat in silence, just looking at each other through the camara. "you're so beautiful Haz. Please can we put this right?
We decided to draw a line under everything, to start again. Though I told him that I wouldn't be coming at Christmas which although he was upset, he understood.
It felt like a huge weight had been lifted, I made my way to bed finally believing that I would sleep tonight.
Harry- Night Lou, sweet dreams xxx
Lou - Good night Gorgeous. Sweet sexy dream xxx
I had the best sleep ever, and maybe some sweet sexy dreams too.
