Nyxon's POV
She nodded. She wrote "But it's been a few weeks.".

"I know. Does your throat feel off?"

She shrugged.

"You don't know? You gotta think."

She started trying to think.

"Still not sure?"

She shrugged.

"Okay. That's fine. Let's take it day by day still."

She wrote "But I miss talking to you!! :("

"You're technically talking."

She started staring at me again.

"No? Didn't find that funny?"

She shook her head.

"Fuck."

I yawned. She wrote "Go sleep.".

"No."

She wrote "Why?".

"I missed seeing you awake."

She wrote "Aww. You're so adorable!".

I rolled my eyes.

"Piss off Colette."

She wrote "Hey! Don't be mean!".

"Don't make me leave."

She started pouting.

Don't laugh.

Don't do it.

I laughed. She gave me the finger.

"Aw. I love you too."

She rolled her eyes. She wrote "I want to go home.".

"I know. They want to keep you here for a while to monitor you. That's all."

She looked at her hand. She pointed to her ring finger.

"I have them. Don't worry."

I showed her, I was wearing a chain with her rings on.

"See? They're safe. This is a strong chain."

She relaxed a bit.

"Once you're allowed to wear them, I'll give them to you."

She nodded then yawned. She started holding her throat. She started to look uncomfortable.

"That bothers you?"

She nodded again. I went and got her some water.

"Here. I'm not sure if, this'll work. It's worth a try though."

She drank some of the water.

"Any better?"

She nodded.

"Good. Do you want to go back to sleep?"

She nodded.

"Okay. Do you want me to lay with you or, do you want to be alone?"

She held her arms out.

"Ah. I should've known."

She put her writing things on the side table. We laid down and I started holding her. She curled up into a ball. I started playing with her hair.

"I love you Nyx."

"Hey! You talked! I love you too!"

She cleared her throat.

"Let's get some rest."

She nodded. The both of us shut our eyes. I kept playing with her hair. She relaxed more.
