They Call It Wonder

It didn't take long for Sabrina to decide she hated Wonderland. She hated it so much, she refused to remove her Keyblade armor. A world like this was unnatural to her. Order was chaos, and chaos was order- it just didn't make sense. Next thing you were going to tell her was that this world had some sort of vorpal blade that could take down a nonsensically named creature with the sound of a snicker-snack, or something like that.

It was just her luck that the Princess of Heart here, Alice by name, was whisked away to some trial just as Sabrina got to talk to her. It was going to complicate things. A lot of things, actually, if Sabrina wanted to care for the world order. And did she want to? Order was chaos, and chaos was order in good old Wonderland, after all. It wouldn't surprise her if the residents here were fully aware of other worlds and Keyblade wielders- they just didn't say anything about it because it felt like common knowledge. Saying you didn't know was the bigger joke.

Which was why Sabrina found herself quite amused to see Goofy and Donald with a boy about a year or so younger than her. This boy immediately made the court come to a standstill when he burst forward, swearing on Alice's innocence in a matter that was quite obviously the result of the Heartless. That, of course, got Alice caged until further notice, which was annoying, but at least it was a stationary place in the meantime.

If she had remembered she was in Wonderland, Sabrina would have made a greater effort to bust Alice out instead. But to that point, was going along with the trial just following the world order? Maybe being in Wonderland affected your line of thinking all around. Or, at the very least, Sabrina's.

Maybe that kid really did just amuse her, and she wanted to see what he was capable of.

"So you decided to look for evidence to clear Alice's name?" she said to the trio as they entered the Lotus Forest. "You keep following your heart so blindly, you might get hurt one day."

Their attention had not been on her right away. Her speaking had made all three jump in surprise.

"Who are you?" the boy quickly asked.

Sabrina let out a less than sincere laugh.

"Let's just say I'm someone who wants to help." she said to him. "And, unlike someone else, is far more patient than to blindly jump into another world's affairs."

The boy immediately recoiled at this. He even sheepishly scratched the tip of his nose just so he couldn't look at her. It reminded her of Ven.

"That voice..." Goofy murmured to himself, but did not mention anything else. From under her helmet, Sabrina shot the goof a rather hard look. He caught it, by some instinctive luck, and very quickly understood.

"There's two pieces of evidence for you to find in this area. Then two more in areas that can be accessed from here." Sabrina then told the boy. "I'll make a way that's easy for you to carry them back. Just make sure you give the queen the right one- otherwise it may be off with your head."

"Got it." the boy nodded.

Sabrina smirked from under her helmet. Watching this kid was going to be entertaining, for sure.

. . .

Ven looked down at the pie slice, gently prodding it with his fork.

"Is something wrong, Ven?" Snow White politely asked. "Your pie has surely gone cold by now."

Ven gave a light smile before looking to Snow White. It was so odd to him; Snow White hadn't aged a day from when he had met her. Every so often, there were jokes that he and a few others at Disney Castle never aged too, but it was a known fact that it was just an artifact of living in that world. He never really considered that particular property could exist in other worlds as well.
