14. Sinners Play as Saints

"my head hurts ouch" seokjin woke up on an unfamiliar couch wrapped in a blanket

"you're up" jimin spoke from the kitchen but loud enough for seokjin to hear him

"uh.. yes" he lifted his body, stretching himself and kicked the covers to the edge of the couch, he slowly came back to his senses and all the memories from last night started flashing one by one while jimin was probably making something in the kitchen

there was no sign on anyone else except for jimin "here's your hangover soup, Sir" jimin placed a big bowl of soup in front of seokjin and bowed down dramatically making seokjin laugh "anything else Sir?" he said placing a bib on seokjin and bowing politely, mimicking a waiter

seokjin slowly adjusted his eyes to the sunlight that is reflecting on the glass wall "good morning jimin" he yawned "where's everyone?" he asked not literally meaning everyone, he only wanted to know where taehyung was. he internally prayed that he'll never have to encounter with taehyung ever again in his life, he knew he messed up big time by kissing him. if he ever met with taehyung again he's for sure going to stab himself out of embarrassment

"oh you mean where's taehyung?" a smirk creeping up his face, seokjin wondered if his mind was displayed naked right now in front of jimin who clearly saw through him

"no i meant..." seokjin tried to defend himself

"taehyung left last night after tucking you in because he had work the next morning and as for others they all left last night except for jungkook who left only an hour ago" jimin sat down next to him

"ah okay" seokjin replied hesitantly picking the spoon to drink up the contents from the bowl. they were a little relaxed because it was their day off unlike taehyung who had work everyday and on days when he was extremely drained he would work from the office in his penthouse, he never actually took a break or went on a vacation because he had nothing to celebrate but now he had, he had what he craved for, every missing piece in his life returned to him like a Christmas present that God gladly granted him

jimin sat with seokjin for the next couple of hours to brief him on how him and jungkook were taking things, elaborating how he disliked his parents because they never gave him any attention neither did they show him any affection, all they did was throw money at his face and leave him all alone. they were going to send jimin to the States because he didn't take his breakup with jungkook well, he had trouble coping after jungkook's departure

he did not agree with his parents about heading to the States and taking up his father's company because one jimin was attached to Korea and second - jungkook. no matter how many therapists he consulted he still couldn't get over jungkook and finally came to a conclusion that only jungkook can clean and heal the mess that he invented and although jimin didn't want to patch things with jungkook he wanted to be around him, being around jungkook magically helped him stay sane and keep his head stable

taehyung desperately wanted to save his friend's dying relationship because his bestie as well was going through something similar to jimin, around the same time when jimin was looking for a job that'll bind him in Korea taehyung had approached him to join his own firm. it was a win-win deal for both of them, taehyung wanted jimin to be around jungkook so atleast at some point they could get back and also would keep jungkook in his right mind if he kept seeing jimin around

meanwhile for jimin he found a job which will serve as reason to stay back here and will shut his parents who had his bag packed to throw him in the States whilst also considering that he'll have jungkook by his side. the trade was pleasing for both taehyung and jimin so they joined hands yet jimin somehow didn't like taehyung too much, they always had this hate-hate relationship because jimin had forcefully fed this thought to himself that 'taehyung was dangerous' but through all this years jimin also learnt that taehyung is a softie at heart and was a great friend, he hated to agree that his presumptuous brain was rude to accuse taehyung for nothing, he labelled him as the bad guy when he had no ill intentions
