*One week later* Draco's POV

Walking into the Great Hall I grab a green apple from the bowl of apples that always sits at the end of the table, sitting down next to Pansy I hand it to her to have for breakfast. She frowns a little looking at the apple than up to me. "Aren't you going to eat it?" I question.

"You do know, I don't like apples. I've never liked apples, Draco. Listen I'm sorry you and Lily are arguing but I'm not her so if your wanting someone like her, just go apologize to her." Pansy says setting the apple down in front of me and standing up to leave.

Wow, she's moody today. Grabbing the apple and taking a bite, I glance around the Great Hall to see Evadanne turning and leaving the Great Hall, a frown grows on my face. She hasn't even tried to talk to me in the past month, she was the own that broke the ring. The least she could do is apologize.

Finishing the apple, I decided to get up and head to Transfiguration early. As I'm passing the Courtyard someone yells my name. Looking back I see Diggory walking my way. Confused I continue walking, why would Diggory want to talk to me. Shouldn't he be with Evadanne? "Malfoy!" I hear again, stopping and turning around I see Diggory jogging to catch up to me.

"What do you want Diggory." I say annoyed, crossing my arms over my chest.

"I need to talk to you about Lily." Rolling my eyes I turn away not wanting to hear it. He grabs my arm stopping me in my tracks. "And your going to listen." He says, with a scary intense face, I've never seen him act like this.

"Fine but be quick I have class." I say shaking his grip off my arm.

"You don't have class for another hour. But anyways, you know Lily didn't break your ring."

"How did it get bro-"

"Don't talk just listen." Cedric says, if he cuts me off again I will cut his tongue out. "I went to the World Cup with the Weasley's. They were all pretty upset that she was friends with me, especially since I caught the snitch in the one game Potter passed out in." Snickering at the memory of that day, Evadanne even made a joke- never mind, why does every memory have her in it.

"Well as we split and she went to go with her family, I saw Ron grabbing her wrist and him take something from her. Next thing I know its an hour later and she was crying. She said something about Ron being a prat and then asked me where you were."

"So what did Weasley do?" I ask slightly curious.

"She told me that apparently, he took the ring from her and destroyed it with a mallet. He said it was your way of owning her. I don't know, he does really stupid things when he's angry and he destroyed that ring while he was angry. You took the ring so she wasn't able to find a way to fix it, but she is just as heartbroken as you were when it was broken. You got her that as a gift welcoming her, while her family pushed her away. Now you've abandoned her and she doesn't know what to do with herself. She's your best friend and you're her best friend. So pull your head out of your ass and apologize to her for blowing it out of proportion." I looked at Diggory, me apologize? But, I didn't do anything wrong.

She let her idiotic brother destroy my mothers engagement ring. She should be apologizing not me. "I have to go to class." I say leaving Diggory standing there. Walking to Transfiguration, realization that Diggory was right and that I have nearly an hour before class, causes me to stop walking and stand there annoyed and confused. Walking down to my room would take to long and waiting at class for an hour is ridiculous. Leaning against the wall I watch the first years running down to the great hall thinking they are running late after sleeping in or the other students laughing and joking with friends.
