Jada jumped when she felt sure hands clamp down on her shoulders. "She's going to be okay," Arizona tried to reassure Callie's wife. "Calliope is a badass and when she puts her mind to something, there's no stopping her."

Jada let herself relax. "I just..." she stuttered. "I just don't have a good feeling about something."

"Here," Arizona said as she picked up Sofia from the makeshift chair she was sitting in and placed her in Jada's arms. "Sit down and take a breath."

Taking her wonderful baby girl into her arms made Jada relax. She was internally thankful the pediatric surgeon had a good handle on calming down people in distress. Placing her perfect baby girl into her arms gave Jada something to focus on, as she didn't want to scare or startle Sofia with her constant trembling.

"How are you not scared like I am?" Jada asked Arizona.

Arizona shrugged softly and followed Jada by sitting down in one of the chairs of the S.H.I.E.L.D. briefing room. "I know Kate isn't down there in battle. She's air support. I really don't have as much to be nervous about as you do. But Kate has Callie's back," Arizona reassured Jada once again. "And she doesn't miss."

Jada managed a small smile. "I just have a bad feeling about something," she tried to explain. "I don't know what it is... I just feel weird."

"I know it's hard," Arizona tried to explain. "I was a military kid growing up. My family and I moved all across the country where my dad was stationed. My mom was quite a mess when my dad was deployed. He did four tours overseas and I remember falling asleep some nights with a gut feeling in my stomach that something was off."

"What did you do about it?"

"I focused my thoughts on something else," Arizona answered. "It's much easier said then done but I had to do that so my anxiety about whatever felt off wasn't as bad." She then added with a smile, "I feel like I'm doing a terrible job here."

Jada joined her in a smile. "No, thank you. I really appreciate it. You've had a lot more experience than I have with this kind of uncertainty."

"Like I said before, Callie is a bad bitch," Arizona joked, getting Jada to wholeheartedly laugh in reply. "When she puts her mind to something there's no stopping her. She'll fight her way through an entire army for you and Sofia."

A smile tugged at Jada's lips. Arizona was right. Callie was a complete badass. Nothing would stop her from coming back to her wife and daughter.

"I think part of it is..." Jada tried to find the words. "I've never been loved or treated like this by any other girl. My past relationships were more like flings or noncommittal things. But I love Callie like I can't even describe. And Callie loves me with everything inside her."

"And just think," Arizona replied softly. "She is going to use that to make sure she comes back to you and Sofia."

Jada nodded and wiped away tears with her free hand. "Thank you. I'm sorry I'm such a mess."

"You have nothing to apologize for. Callie does have that effect," Arizona teased.

Jada smiled. "Okay, I'm not going to be all sad and upset the entire time we're stuck up here. So you, are going to tell me about you and Kate. Because last time I heard, you two were figuring some shit out."
