SUMMARY: You and Shuri went to a party hosted by Tony and start realising new, complicated emotions and feelings for each other.
It was the Heroes Celebratory Party. Initially, it was supposed to be a serious meeting to discuss the cooperation of the different heroes and let the others know when a potential threat is on Earth so that in case of emergency, there will be enough backup. Tony, however, thought there was going to be way too many people and would be a missed opportunity not to have a party. Also, probably to lighten the mood. So he decided to host one after the brief meeting in the compound, and almost nearly every hero you could thought of was there. The Guardians, Wakandans and even the sorcerers like Strange, Wong and a few more you recognised attended the party.
It was such a pleasant view to see the different heroes and friends all in one space, in close proximity. But what made you feel even more happier was the fact your favourite person in the world, the princess of Wakanda was here.
Shuri used to be someone you admired because of the princess title she had and after a few not-so-serious missions together, you two really bonded a lot and you realized she was more than just a princess.
She was a goddess and the best friend anyone could ask for. It had come to the point you weren't so sure if you were in love with her.
Although you two were close, you had never really been in a party with her. It's your first time seeing her dress super formal. She kept that chill vibe but you can tell she put in a lot of effort accessorising, with a lot of bling and glamour around her. She was sparkling and shimmering. She wore a dark blue blazer suit with several diamonds on it. Underneath the blazer was a half button dark blue blouse, showing a little peek of her cleavage and you instantly blush when you laid eyes on it. The long pants was also dark blue accompanied with diamonds for a belt. She wore lots of earrings and had rings on almost nearly every finger.
She caught your attention immediately when you saw her from afar but you were too mesmerised to just run straight to her. You took a moment to adore her before you slowly walk towards her direction awkwardly.
"Shuri, hey!" You called out, somehow the words were coming out very shyly. You couldn't help but just look at her beautiful eyes and that perfect lips. Oh god, just shut up.
"What's up!" She replied with the biggest smile on her face. Usually, she would do that arm wrestle handshake with you but today was somehow different. She went in for a hug instead and it caught you off surprise. You then quickly hugged her back, wishing that you can just stay in this moment forever. But the hug ended when she pulled away, awkwardly adjusting her clothes and then laughing softly. If you were a ice cream, you would've melted right there instantly cause that was the cutest laugh you have ever heard.
"So, it's been awhile since we met. How are you?" You initiated the conversation.
"Y/N, we literally texted just yesterday about how crazy my family was. But I'm good. I'm doing real good." You laughed, your hand over your mouth as you did so. "No, it's not the same, you know? Meeting and texting is totally two different things!"
