The mental hospital isn't fun. Especially not when you're tied up to a bed most of the time, having no one believe a single word that comes out of your mouth. Everyone thinks you're crazy and you don't blame them. Maybe you had hallucinated everything that happened in the past few days. Maybe none of it was real. But you wanted out of this place. You want to go back to her. You hated her. Yet, you needed to feel her embrace. You cried in your bed, thinking of the day where your life changed forever.
The day where it started.
You were walking to college down the street like you do everyday, music drowning into your ears. As you do, you would daydream about a better and successful life, a slight reflection of what you want to achieve for yourself in the future. In that said future, there is one thing that you would picture all the time. A healthy relationship with the girl of your dreams. Since you don't really have any crushes, that girl never has a face in your daydreams. It's more of a feeling. The touch on your skin. The whispers. The intimacy. It tingles something in you.
Realizing you were in school already, you immediately snapped out of the fantasy in your head, heading into school as the feeling of dread wash over you.
"We are now live on the scene where the destruction happened, and it looks like a random lady has just come out of the damaged building, seemingly unharmed. The woman is seen running frantically around the area, in search of something. The police have been alerted and so are the ambulances. Thankfully, no one has been reported injured or dead." The news on the school TV played out.
It was the first thing that caught your attention in the school and you saw a bunch of people crowding over to watch it. Never have you ever seen people so enthusiastic to watch the news. But it was understandable. You were quite intrigued and decided to be a little more extroverted, putting yourself among the crowd and watching the news together with them, hoping to see a good glimpse of the woman and what the hell was happening.
"We are trying to get a view on the mysterious woman but in our current situation, it would be hard. For now, we will depend on the police to give us more detailed information. Back at you, Rachel."
Everyone groaned and booed when the identity wasn't mentioned, having to make the students wait for another few minutes before the news airs again. You wished you could stay but you were already late for class. Disappointed, you walked away and towards your classroom.
Class was boring as always, and you managed to go through the entirety of school, completely alone. Daydreaming came in handy in between classes when you had breaks but somehow, today was quite different. Your head couldn't seem to stop flashing images. Your daydreams went from the perfect life to you being in some sort of crazy fight. You had no idea where that image came from but it was as if your mind was glitching. It was weird but you didn't think too much about it, assuming it was another one of your silly daydreams where you invent some random stuff that made no sense.
