It has been 6 months since you last felt her touch, hear her laugh. All these moments, you have been fighting not just for yourself, but for the world. Every time you're about to give up, you immediately think of her. Battling enemies while trying to stay under the radar was tough. But once you capture the bad guys, clear your name, you will be with your Shuri again. It's that simple. Right?

No, it wasn't.

The team of agents you were working with all tragically died. Not only do you work alone now, but you had to grief the loss of your members all by yourself. The SHIELD compound was blown to bits, not habitable for any human. So, your last resort was to live deep down in a sewer, days after days. Every night, you would fall asleep, dreaming of the love of your life. Then you would wake up back into a nightmare and continue with the mission that you wish was done.

Eventually, you finally came face to face with the enemy. Turns out, they were Hydra. You fought each of their bodyguards, not giving up one bit. Although you wanted to kill them, it wasn't really going to do your name any justice. Simply putting them to sleep with your punches was enough. All you needed to do was get the big boss. You manage to get through all of them until you saw the big boss and jumped on them, trying to give him a concussion. You fought with all your strength, Shuri's voice echoing in your head as if she's there, cheering you on.

However, you miscalculated the enemy's move and got hit hard instead. Thankfully, you called the FBI beforehand and right as you went into a concussion, they arrived, apprehending the Hydra boss.

You won. You did it. But at what cost?

Where am I? Was the first thing you thought of as you woke up from the bed, realising you were in a hospital. Your head was spinning a little but you were mainly confused on how and why you were here. Nothing seemed to be making any sense and it feels like you have lost touch of reality.

Confusion hit even more when a woman next to you started jumping out of her chair, and getting closer to you, joy written all over her face. She looked familiar, felt this warmth as she gently caressed your face. Yet, you know nothing about her.

"Oh, my love! You are finally back. You came back to me!" She spoke with such excitement and triumph, tears welling up in her eyes.

You looked at her obviously in perplexity, trying your hardest to figure out something. Who are you?

Her smile softened seeing how you're just staring at her blankly. She assumed you were probably in shock after your mission and you were hit pretty hard or at least that's what the doctors said.

That's when it also hit her.

You were hit hard. In the head.

Her smile immediately faded away, looking at you with concern. "D-do you remember me?" She asked, her voice breaking.

You were quite weak to respond and you were trying to get a hold of the situation but nothing seems to be helping you understand. If anything, her holding your hand is making you even more confused. Why is her touch so familiar and why do you not recognise her. Why is everything not processing in your head? It felt like you know everything but nothing at the same time. You managed to respond after awhile and you slowly got up as you did.

"No."

Who knew one word could break someone's heart into a million pieces. The woman by your side immediately broke down, releasing her hands from yours and her head dropped down onto your bed, crying her heart out.
