Chapter 1
(16 years old- all dates refer to Cynthia's age)
The afternoon of Cynthia's sixteen birthday, October 15, 2022 she was getting ready for her party in her bedroom. She put on her skinny jeans with a rip on the knees; a red v-neck tshirt; a red, white and blue flannel shirt, hooped earrings, gray socks and black boots that tied, and her watch with a red band. She brushed her wavy brown hair and decided to just let it hang loose. She looked at her brown eyes and decided to apply a light pink eyeshadow and mascara. She was pleased with the results.
"Cynthia we need to leave in ten minutes," her step mother, Andrea, called from downstairs. Andrea had come into her life when she was eleven just a year after her mother had died. She was dad's second chance mate. They mated when Cynthia was twelve. Cynthia and her had a love/hate relationship.
"Just need to put on my lipgloss and grab my white hoodie,"she called back. She pick up her lipgloss land applied it.

Cynthia went to her dresser and pulled out her white hoodie. She set it on her bed. She went to the closet and grabbed her red backpack. She grabbed an extra outfit and threw it in the bag. She remembered last year she spilled a drink on her. She had to wear a wet outfit the rest of the night. She wanted to be prepared in case it happened again since she can be chutzpah. She walked out of the closet and grabbed her hoodie and stuffed it in the pack. She went over and grabbed her lip gloss and hairbrush and added it too the bag before she closed it. She walked downstairs. She saw her parents. Andrea and Cliff Morgan standing by the door.
She looked around, "where are Curtis and Peyton?" They were her older brothers.
Dad replied, "Curtis left to go pick up their mates. Peyton is going to be closing up the shop for me since I wanted to bring my baby to her party. They will meet us at the bonfire by the lake."
They got into the car and drove to the lake. When they got there they saw the caterers her dad hired had food on the grill. Plus tables with side dishes, deserts, and drinks. Plus a table with gifts on them. It was there she saw two of her friends, Sofia and June. She jumped out of the car and started to go to them. Her dad called out, "don't forget to sav a dance for me."
"I won't dad. I requested a special song for the last dance before the pack run." She waved bye to them and went to join her friends. She started dancing with them on the makeshift floor that had been placed there. The night went on and at 9:45 the Alpha Xion Desari called out, "it is almost time for the birthday pack run. However before the run I would like to call up Cliff and Cynthia. The last dance of the night."
When they met on the floor Cynthia nodded her head toward the DJ. "Daddy, will you dance with me?" He lifter her hand to his lips and kissed them.
"Always baby girl." On the blowup movie screen a slideshow of Cynthia and her family from birth to just a few days ago started playing along with the song DADDY- by BEYONCE. They danced to it.
