Chapter 9

Sixteen Years Two Months and Remembering
Day 2 in Chambers
December 13

The next morning everyone but the prisoners were in chambers. Elder River stood up, "today we will start day two of the review. However before we start the king has requested to speak first."

The king stood up, "yesterday we discovered this trial went beyond the original group who were accused. I had the enforcers bring the other 16 who were discovered here too. They are below in Obsidian Moon Prison. While in transit here we had them watch yesterday's full video. This will be a trial to include everyone."

He looked toward the alphas. "To consider this a fair hearing I need to split up the jury. There are 32 alphas here today. If you identified a person as a victim or a suspect I would like to stand up and move to the left aisle. 21 alphas stood up and moved. Ok there are 11 of you left. Please move closer together. We need twelve people on the jury panel to be legal. All pack enforcers stand up. If you have been an enforcer for less than 20 years, sit down." There were 5 enforcers still standing after that. "Do any of you know any of the victims or suspects?" Two of them sit down. "You three then are on the jury panel. Since we need a minimum of 12 on the panel to have a legal vote we will keep you three. This way we have a couple extra incase anyone else needs to drop."

One of the alpha's stood up, "your majesty?"

"Yes."

"I feel I can still stay unbiased, but one of the accused is a distant cousin from another pack."

"Thank you for your honesty." He sits and stares at the alpha. "I believe in your integrity and will let you stay on the panel. Does anyone object?"

No one voiced a disagreement. He looked at Calvin and said, "Let us proceed."

Calvin nodded his head. He turned toward the camera. "Yesterday, we showed a violent and sexual video of one of the other victims. It was decided we would not show all the others. We did however show a slideshow to the members in the chamber. This slideshow had victims and suspects in it. This is why I had the jury had members step aside. Plus one member from the werewolf council stepped aside. The videos are not being shared. It is to help protect the victims."

He looked around, "yesterday you heard Cynthia talk and we will call her back. It was emotionally exhausting for her and we are letting her rest in her hospital room. We will inform Alpha Nurse Clem when we request her to return to chambers."

He then turned toward the elders, "I would like to call Omega Sabrina Holston."

The door opened and a young omega who looked about 12 walked in with an enforcer guiding her. He led her to the chair that all the witnesses from the day before sat in. "Sabrina please state your rank, name, job and age."

"Hello, my name is Omega Sabrina Holston. I work on the alpha floor in housekeeping. I am 19 years old."

"Sabrina I would like for you to tell everyone why I called you here."

"A couple weeks back I was on the alpha floor going through Xavier suite when you came in and found me cleaning."

"Can you tell the chambers what occurred that day?"

"Do you mean before I came in or from the time I ran into you?"

"Start with after breakfast on the day my uncle and I ran into you."

"It was the day after Luna to be Cynthia had clasped. I was asked my Mrs. Slumber, who is lead housekeeper to go clean Desari's children suites. I was told enforcers were in Xavier's suite, so wait until I was given the all clear to go in."
