"Nasaan si Senator Reese?"

Leon's mind has been occupied with that question. Where is she? Did she leave her? Did she had an emergency? Did she go home? Where is she?

Janine saw her Mom seating, sipping coffee in their dining area. Leon is staring blankly.

"Ma? Okay ka lang?" Janine curiously asked.

"A-ah yes. Janine, anak. Have you seen Reese?"

"No. I thought she'd sleep here?"

"She did. Pero pag gising ko wala na siya."

"Hala? Eat and run?"

Leni spilled her coffee. Her face turned red when she heard her daughter say that. She knew?!

"Huh? What do you mean?"

"She ate here right. I heard you guys eating your midnight snacks kagabi."

"Oh. Oh. Yes."

Leon sighed her relief. Janine went to her duty leaving Leni alone at home. She's debating herself whether to call and ask Reese. She's the one who left, she should have some decency.

"Ha. Whatever. I need to know nasaan si Senator Reese."

Leni dialed her number. After 3 rings, Reese answered.

"Hello? Reese?"

"Leon? Yes?"

She's calm. No hints that may indicate emergencies.

"W-where are you?"

"Nasa office. Senate. May session. Why? Miss mo na ako?"

"What the heck? You just went to work?!"

"Yes?! Why? Anong problema?"

"Akala ko iniwan mo na ako."

"Gaga. I will never do that."

"Sabi ni Janine, nag eat and run ka raw."

"Well, she's right. I ate you last night."

"Stop. You made me worry. Don't do that again."

"Sorry. I'll make it up to you? Hmm?"

"You should. Next time, text me or wake me up okay?"

"Yes, love."

"Love?"

"Oo. Love kita eh."

"Weird mo."

"Weird mo." Reese copied her voice. "You didn't feel me kanina? I kissed you a lot of times before I go."

"You did?"

"Yup. You smiled pa nga kaya I thought you knew."

"Hay. Akala ko siguro nanananigip ako."

"Sorry again. Lunch later? OVP?"

"Okay. Pero sa restaurant na lang. I won't go to the office today. Hapon pa meetings ko."

"Sige. I'll pick up you up there. Bye, my VP Love."

"Reese. Stop."

"Hehe. Bye mwa!"

Their call ended. Leon can finally be at ease knowing that they're okay. That Reese's okay. She get ready for their lunch. Leni decided to wear all black today.
