A Mistake?

"Good morning VP Love! 😊" 

Reese messaged Leon. The vice president is now getting ready for an event she's invited to speak. She smiled reading Reese's message.

"Magandang umaga, Sen. Mahal😘"

"Sarap ng mahal. Hehe. Saan ka today?"

"Here in Ilocos. Guest speaker. You?"

"At home. No work today. May livestream ba yan? I'll watch you. 🙃"

"I think meron. Ipapasend ko sa'yo yung link. Don't miss me please😘"

"Feeling! Get ready na. Eat your meal okay?"

"Of course. Bye Sen. Mahal❤️"

"Ttyl, VP Love. 😊"

The vice president ate her breakfast and finished getting ready. They arrived at the hotel ballroom where the event will be held. She was welcomed by a lot of politicians and local officials. There was one person she was expecting to be here.

"Good day, VP Leon. Mayor Jacob po." He offered his hand for a handshake.

"Magandang umaga, Mayor Jacob. I know you." She greeted him back.

"Oh that's nice po, Madam. Welcome to Ilocos!" He felt shy knowing the Vice President knows him. He didn't know that it was because of Reese.

They proceeded to their respective seats and the program started. Mayor Jacob was the one who's talking right now. His speech was very good for a young Mayor. Some people were surprised why he is still single. He's tall, handsome and most importantly, not corrupt despite Mayor Jacob came from a political family. He has a very clean track record.

"He's a very effective Mayor, Ma'am." Leon's seat mate, the Governor of Ilocos proudly stated.

"Oh, matagal na ba siyang pulitiko?"

"Yes. He started as councilor and then won as Mayor in the recent elections."

"I see. He's a good speaker as well ah."

"He graduated in UP like you, Ma'am. But he's younger."

"Grabe sa younger. Haha. How old is he?"

"41, Ma'am."

She faked her laugh. "Ano ba naman Reese, ang bata ng type mo ah." She said in mind.

"He's young. May potential for higher positions."

"Mayor Jacob plans to run nga as Governor after my term tapos Congressman and then Senator."

"That's good. He must be exposed."

"Speaking of Senator, I think he's in a relationship with Senator Hontiveros."

Leon was shocked because of what he just said.

"What?"

"Yes. They've been dating for a while now. Senator Reese visits here often. Sinasabi ko nga para na siyang local dito." He joked.

"Oh haha. That's cute."

"They're cute, Ma'am. If you see them together, ang haharot."

Leon's mood isn't good now. She became irritated by the Governor.

"If you see us together, baka mainggit ka pa." She whispered.

"Ano yun, VP?"

"Oh I said, I want to see them together."

"I'll schedule a dinner for us! You, Mayor Jacob, Senator Reese and me." Leon just nodded with his idea.

The audience clapped after Mayor Jacob's speech. He seated beside Leon and smiled.
