Kairi's POV

The rest of the weekend was long and boring, all I did was stay home, do homework, and watch Gilmore Girls.

It was now Monday and Tori and I were on our way to school. She was wearing an oversized black hoodie, her favourite pair of jorts, and her Nike blazers. She had her hair in two braids with a trucker hat to complete the outfit.

I had on a simple cropped white long sleeve, a black skirt that stopped just above my thighs, and my Gucci tights. I put on some white socks, bunching them up at the top long with my mary janes. I straightened my hair and just let it be.

We arrived at school a few minutes early and just chilled in Tori's car.

"So how did it go with that guy yesterday?" I asked as I sipped my coffee.

Tori smiled at me. "It went really well, I got his number and asked if he wanted to go to homecoming with me tomorrow."

"Toriii look at you go." I smiled. "What's his name?"

"Kale." Tori smiled.

"That's cute, I'm happy for you." I smiled

"Thank you. Oh, what happened between you, Chase, and Meave. I saw the whole thing." She asked.

Oh right. I wanted to forget about that. "I don't know I saw them almost kiss, and I can't help but think what else would have happened if I didn't see them." I played with my straw.

"Kairi you have it all wrong she was the one coming onto him." She told me.

"But I saw them." I objected,

"No Kairi, he pushed her off him. He then tried to go after you but you were already gone. I saw it all." She said.

I slumped down in my seat. Was she being serious? "Shit I really am dumb huh?"

"Yeah but I love you nonetheless." She smiled.

"Thanks but I have to talk to him. He's always in the music room in the mornings, come on." I said as I swiftly grabbed my bag and made my way out of the car.

"What? Oh okay, wait for me." I heard Tori scramble out.

I made my way to the music room where I heard music being played. The door was open slightly so I peaked in the room. I saw Addie, Cory, Meave, and Chase all practicing.

"Are they in there?" Tori said behind me, I jumped causing the door to open. Tori and I got out of the way so no one would see us. We started walking away when I heard someone come out. I turn around and see Chase and Adelaide. I looked at Chase and gave him a small wave. He just put his head down and walked back inside.

What was his problem?

"Let's go Kairi." Tori said.

"Yeah." I sighed.

We took our seats in homeroom and made some small talk. The bell rung and everyone else started filing in. I watched Chase as he passed my desk and he didn't even look at me.

"What do I do?" I asked Tori as I rested my head on the table.

"Talk to him." She put her hand on my shoulder

Chase's POV

I don't know why I was being so awkward with Kairi. I'm pretty sure she hates me. I put my head on the table, letting out a sigh. Good thing Meave isn't in this class I don't know if I could handle that.

"What even happened between you and Kairi?" I felt Adelaide tap me.

"Yesterday Meave came onto me. She tried to kiss me and told me she liked me, and Kairi saw it all." I frowned.
