"Winston!" I shout from the kitchen.

We had been figuring our way out with the new system. Since he works nights, we haven't seen much of each other but he took a week off.

We decided to use that week to get to know each other. So every night we switch off who gets to choose what we do.

Night one is my choice and I chose a movie night.

"What's up." He says, pulling his shirt down to compete his outfit, which consisted of a black shirt and grey sweatpants. I had still been left in my work shirt and a pair of jeans that were so tight around my thighs.

"Pick a movie." I say. He nods his head and I head to my room to change into a light teal sweatshirt and some white sweat pants I just recently bought.

The living room was dimly lit, but that's because the string lights Wanda and I hung up on the walls were almost 4 years old and we have to get an actual lamp. Winston had fixed up a small section on the floor, giving us each a designated spot to sit and watch...

Chucky.

Oh boy.

"So you're a horror type of guy?" I say with some uncertainty. I may not be wanting to jump
someone's bones right now, but I do like my chik-flicks and rom-coms.

But I detest horror movies.

"Yeah, it's what got me interested in forensics." He pops a popcorn into his mouth.

I look puzzled, "Dead bodies and bloody bones intrigued you enough to work with them?"

"Yeah, I guess you could say that." He said, not even looking toward me. I take the hint that he doesn't want to talk so I stay quiet. But I don't want to watch the movie. I lay my head on the couch, and slowly fall asleep, while screaming and shrieking played like background music.

the next morning

"Oh. Your awake." the slightly unfamiliar voice whispered. He smells like coffee.

"Coffee?" I ask, exhausted and slightly confused.

A small laugh jokes out of the man's mouth. "Nope, it's Winston. I do have coffee for you." He says with his bright smile, handing me the warm ceramic.

"Thank." I couldn't finish my sentence after tasting the most delicious coffee ever.

Either I'm being poisoned or he bought the expensive shit.

I don't care either or.

"Your welcome. I gotta head out and go visit my grandparents. I should be back in time for dinner." He says, collecting his jacket and his essentials.

"Yeah. I'll send you the address to my parents house. Don't be late Winston, or your not getting any food." I joke. He gives a soldiers salute before shutting the door. I smile to myself before I see Bones scraping at my ankles for food.

"Sorry bud." I say to him. Giving a small scratch on the Dalmatians head. "Cant even feed his own dog. He'd be lost without me."

Bones just tilts his head, but immediately forgets about me when the dish is full.

As the day goes on, Bones and I get more impatient. I had taken off the work day to clean the house and try and setup some business deals for my future company. Wanda and I have been talking all day, trying to figure out who we want to work with, where we would prefer to locate at, and so many more things.

"Okay Cole. We've been talking about this for about 2 hours. I want to hear about your hottie roommate." She says in the flirty tone.

"He's not a hottie." I roll my eyes as I hop on my bed. So does the large dog.

She gives me that glare.

"Okay he's attractive but I'm not like crushing on him." She gives me another glare. "I'm really not! If anything, I'm crushing on his dog. Look at him." I push while showing the black and white spotted dog who's head is on my thigh.

"Your telling me," She sets her phone down on her New York sink. "That you have no romantic interest in this bachelor of a roommate?" I shake my head while petting Bones. "I would've jumped his bones by now."

I laugh harder than I should've and accidentally scared Bones. "What about that crush on Bucky?"

"I don't know. That Winston is a little more attractive than him."

I don't agree with that.

"Okay, well I'll let you get started on your Winston shrine. But I have to get ready for my family dinner. They're meeting McHottie." I joke.

"See, you admitted he's hot!"

"Whatever. Let me know if you find any other things to talk about for the business. I'll talk to you soon." She send a kiss through the phone and  I do the same before ending the call.

As I pick out what jeans I was gonna wear, my phone buzzes. Steve texted me.
