A friend of Zayn's is throwing a christmas party and invites all of the gang and his girlfriend invites all of her gang. All together, all of their friends and boyfriend's or girlfriends that get brought along, there must be about sixty to seventy people at his house.
Alayna actually didn't want to go but got persuaded to go so she is dancing in the livingroom with a few of her friends. Zayn on hand was thrilled with the invitation as he knew there'd be lots of booze. Wherever you see alcohol you will find Zayn somewhere near by.
The time flies by as the two of them have very much fun. Soon enough the time comes where Zayn starts hitting on all the girls and stumbling all over the place. As Alayna hasn't really drunk anything the entire night and lives a few minutes away from Zayn she walks over to him. "Hey!", she says tapping him on the shoulder. "Hey, beautiful!", he replys hitting on her. "You're pretty drunk..." "No, I'm not!", he answers stumbling over his own foot.
"You sure?", she asks raising an eyebrow in disbelief hoping he'll give in. "Of course!" While the two of them discuss whether he's drunk or not the rest of the guest slowly start leaving one by one. "Zayn! Stop it!" "What?" "Stop hitting on me! There's nothing happening between us!" "That's what you say now!", he snarkily responds and smirks.
"There isn't! Now, please let me drive you home!" "Nope! I can drive home myself!" "You definitely can't! You're way too drunk to drive!" "I'm fine! I'm fine! Really!" "No, you're not, now let me drive you home!", she answers taking his arm. Just as he wants to reply his friend walks by and says "I hate telling you this but she's right! You're not driving anywhere!" "Thanks!", Alayna wants to say but by the time she does he has already walked off again.
"Come on now!" She wraps her arm around his and pulls him to through the front door and out to her car. The two of them get to the car but Zayn refuses to get into the passenger seat. "I'm driving!" "No, you absolutely are not!" "I am!" "You're not! I'm not planning on dying tonight, so get in!", she says getting a little louder and opening the passenger seat door.
"I always drive!" "Well, tough! You're not driving now!" She litterally pushes him into the car and slams the door shut and walks around the car and gets in herself. "Can I put on some music?" "I guess so!", Alayna replys totally exhausted. Zayn connects his phone to the car and starts playing music. He starts singing, if you can even call it that, the songs loudly.
Alayna ignores Zayn and leaves him be until all of a sudden the car stops. "What the fuck?", Zayn asks looking over at Alayna. "Shit!", she exhales and hits the steering wheel. She pulls out her phone, turns down the music and dials the number for the road side assistance. "Yes, hello!... My car broke down!... I don't know what's wrong!... No, a... a friend of mine is here with me!... great, thanks a mill!"
She puts down her phone and hits the steering wheel again. Zayn looks at her in confusion and turns up the music again. "What's up?", he asks after a while. "They said they'll be here in thirty to forty-five minutes.", she explains and rolls her eyes. "Oh, well I guess we'll have to wait..." "Oh really? Wow! You're so smart! I would have never come up with that!", she says ironicly and turning her face to look out the window.
They both pull out their phones. Zayn plays some video game while Alayna texts her mum that it'll be a bit longer till she's home and then starts texting with some of her friends. He turns up the volume of the music and Alayna just looks at him from the side. "Really?" "What?" "It was loud enough before already!" "No, it wasn't! And what's the problem with loud music?" "It's a bit too loud! No, fuck being nice! It's way too loud! Now turn the fucking volume down before I kick you out of the car!", she answers loosing her patience.
Zayn listens to her and turns down the volume a little. "I like you when you're angry! It's hot!" "Shut up!" "I mean it! It's really sexy!" "I said shut up!", she nearly shouts. He stays quiet for a little while and then adds "I love you!" "You don't know what you're talking about! You're drunk!" "I might be drunk..." "Aha, so you do k ow it yourself just wouldn't give in!" "I said I might be drunk... now let me finish what I was about to say! I might be drunk but I really do love you!" "No, you don't!" "I do!" "Then why say it now?" "Because I never find the courage to tell you! I've never felt like this about anyone before!" Alayna rolls her eyes not believing him and looks out of the window again.
"I love you, Alayna!", he says a few minutes later, totally confident and she turns back to look at him. He takes the chance that she's looking at him and can't really run away to kiss her. At first she stays still but a little later she kisses him back. "I love you!", he mumbles into the kiss. Alayna doesn't say anything. "It's alright if you don't feel the same!", he explains and then kisses her again. The fact that she kisses him back is answer enough for Zayn that she does kinda like him.
They would have stayed in the car kissing for another while but they get interupted by a knock on the window. The two of them pull apart and Alayna opens the cardoor and gets out while Zayn stays sitting iin the car. "So, what exactly happened?" "I don't know! I was driving home when all of a sudden the engine stoped and yeah, that's about it!", she explains. The guy takes a look at everything and can't seem to find the problem then and there so he suggests "How about I drive the two of you home and then bring your car to the garage? They can take a better look at it there!" "If that's all you can do..." "I'm sorry to say that's what it looks like at the moment..." "I guess we don't really have a different option... so yes! That would be very kind of you!"
The guy attaches Alayna's car to his and lets the two of them get into his car. He drops Zayn off at his place first and when they get to Alayna's her parents are already standing infront of the front door waiting for her to come back. Her dad walks over to the guy to find out what exactly is going to happen now while her mother takes Alayna into her arms. "Are you alright?" "Yes! I'm fine, mum!" "I'm so happy you're here now, I was getting seriously worried!" "I'm fine! And I wasn't alone!"
