Liam and Sarah have been dating for the last three years now and for their anniversary today, Liam has planned a lovely picnic in the park. That morning Liam collects Sarah from her house as usual and drives the two of them to school.
"Good morning, babe!", Liam greets her when she gets into the car and gives her a kiss. "Good morning, Li! Happy anniversary!", Sarah replys and gives him another kiss. "Happy anniversary! I've got something special planned after school!" "Oohh, what is it?" "I'm not telling you! It's a surprise!" "Please!" "Nope!" Flr the rest of the car ride to school Sarah keeps bugging Liam to tell her but he doesn't give in.
They arrive at school and as per usual they walk in with Liam's arm around her waist and head to their lockers. The two of them get out their book and then go to the classroom where they chat with some of their friends. "It's your anniversary today, isn't it?", one of them asks and the two of them nod and look at eachother. "You can just feel their love when they're around!", another one says. Liam and Sarah kiss and then the teacher walks in which silences everyone and makes everyone return to their seats.
After school the two of them bring away their books and walk to the car. "Will you finally tell me where we're going?" "You'll find out soon enough!", is the only answer Liam gives her before he drives off. A few minutes later they arrive at the park which is decorated with lots of flowers and lights to light up the dark. "Did you do all this?", Sarah asks with surprise and hugging Liam. "I had a little help!", he replys and gives her a kiss while she jumps up into his arms.
The two of them walk towards the picnic blanket which is nicely set up with all of Sarah's favorite snacks. "I love you!", she says when they sit down and she leans in to his side. "I love you, too!", he replys pressing a kiss on her forehead. "Now dig in!"
Sarah fills her plate with different little snacks and starts to eat. Liam pulls out his phone and puts on some music before he starts digging in himself. The two of them have a great time until all of a sudden Sarah stands up to start dancing and collapses.
Liam bends down to check if she's alright and tries to wake her up. "Sarah? Sarah! Sarah wake up!", he calls but he doesn't get a response. He quickly pulls out his phone and calls an ambulance. "Hello? Yes... hello! We're at the park and my irlfriend collapsed! We need help!", he starts and then explains where exactly they are. The ambulance arrives a few minutes later.
"I need you to please drive to the hospital on your own as you are not related or married.", the guy says and then adds "Do her parents or you parents know?" "Yes, I called them right after I called you!", Liam says panicky. The ambulance drives off and Liam rushes to his car and drives to the hospital.
They do some checkups in the ambulance but as she is unconscious she can't explain what she had eaten or if she feels dizzy or what kind of allergies she has. When they get to the hospital they bring her into a room and take some blood to see if they notice anything wrong. A little later Liam arrives and is immediately brought to her.
He kisses her forehead. "I'm so sorry, Sarah! Please wake up!", he says laying his head on her cvest and starting to cry. He feels her hand on his arm and looks up at her. "Sarah! Are you alright?", he asks in tears. "My head hurts! Where am I? What happened?", she asks completely confused. "You're in hospital. You collapsed!", he explains when the nurse comes in.
"Good news, there's no food poisoning or anything like that. All the tests we did came back perfectly! Except that you're blood sugar is a bit low so I'll get you some sweets. Any weird cravings you have right now?" "Thanks. What do you mean weird cravings?", Sarah asks. "Well, because of your pregnancy...", the nurse tells her. "What? Because of my what?" "Because of your pregnancy!" "Uh..." "Oh, you didn't know?" "Nope..."
Liam and Sarah look at eachother and smile. "I'm pregnant?", Sarah asks in shock. The nurse nods. Liam holds his hands infront of his mouth and looks really happy. "You're only five weeks pregnant, so I wouldn't tell anyone yet but...", the nurse starts. "How am I gonna tell my parents?", Sarah asks but you can still see that she's happy about the news.
"If I may ask, how old are you?" "I'm seventeen, he's eighteen..." "Oh, then I understand your concern! If you want there's always the opportunity to..." Sarah knows what the nurse is hinting at so she interupts her. "No, no, I'm keeping the baby! No matter what you think, Liam!", she says and for the last part she looks at Liam. "You're gonna be an amazing mum! I'd never leave you because of that! I'll always support you!", Liam agrees and answers Sarahs indirect question.
"Ok, so now that that's out of the way, I'd like to do an ultrasound to see if the baby is alright!" "Of course!", Liam and Sarah answer and the nurse gets the machine. She does the ultrasound and shows the two of them the tiny little bean which is their baby.
"We're gonna be parents!", Sarah states when she finally realises this is truly happening and sits up. Liam sits down next to her and gives her a kiss. "We're gonna be great parents!", he corrects her. She leans in closer to him and he puts his arm around her. The nurse leaves to get some sweets for Sarah.
Just then her parents arrive at the hospital and get sent to her room immediately. "Are you alright, honey?", her mother says coming straight to her and giving her a hug. "I'm ok, just have low blood sugar.", she explains to her parents and the nurse comes back in with some sweets. "I hope you like these...", the nurse says handing Sarah the sweets she got her.
"Thank you! It's my favourite sweets!", she laughs and opens the first packet. Her mother sits down next to her and her dad comes closer to her aswell. "Are you really alright, honey?", she asks which makes Sarah lean in to Liam even more. "Very!", she replys. "I would like to keep you in overnight to do a checkup on you're blood sugar agin later on and tomorrow to see if it got better!", the nurse explains and all four nod.
Sarah stays in hospital for the night so they can monitor her blood sugar. The next day she gets out and spends the entire day with Liam watching movies. "As we couldn't really celebrate our anniversary yesterday I thought we'd celebrate a little today!", Liam says and stands up to get some of the snacks from yesterday.
