As long as Niall and Lennja can remember they've been best friends. Their mother's are best friends so it was fated for their kids to be best friends, too. They spent each amd every day with eachother and went on holiday together during their childhood. Once they got into high-school they didn't spend so much time together anymore but still stayed best friends.
That day Lennja comes storming through the front door after school and immediately goes to her bedroom and locks the door. She lays down in bed and starts to cry. She isn't holding back her tears anymore like she was on her way home. Her mother knocks at the door. "Is everything alright, honey? What happened?", she asks. "I don't want to talk about it! Go away!", she says and her mother can clearly hear she's crying.
Once her mother leaves she puts on her headphones and turns on her music. The music is so loud that she doesn't hear the doorbell ring. She barely hears the knock at her door but pauses her music. "Leave me alone!", she cries but the person behind the door knocks again. "It's me, Niall! Please let me in...", he answers. Lennja stands up quickly unlocks the door and jumps back into bed under her covers with her face pressed into her pillow.
Niall opens the door and before walking towards Lennja he locks the door again. He comes to her bed and sits down next to her with his hand on her back. "Hey, Lennja! What's up with you? Your mum's really worried!", he asks in a worried tone. "He... he broke up...", she whispers just loud enough for Niall to understand. He turns her over and wipes away the tears on her cheek.
"Why would he do that? You're perfect!" Lennja doesn't answer and another few tears run down her cheek. "Hey, look at me...", he says putting his hand under her chin and lifting it up so she is forced to look at him. "He is stupid if he broke up with you! He doesn't deserve you! And you deserve so much better!" "But I... I lo..." "I know you do! But you're way too good for him!"
Niall picks up his backpack he brought and takes out a tub of ice cream and two spoons. "It's minus ten degrees outside?!" "But you want it, don't you?" "Of course!" Niall laughs and hands her the tub of ice cream and one of the spoons. Before he makes himself comfortable on her bed he stands up to get her laptop and turns on a christmas movie. When he gets back he sits up leaning against the head of the bed and Lennja sits down infront of him.
Niall puts his arms around her and pulls her back so she's leaning on him completely. He pulls the cover over her and presses play on the laptop. She starts eating the ice cream and Niall gets one or two spoons of it before it's empty. "Thanks, Nialler! I really needed this!", she says laying her head against his chest and slightly looking up at him. He looks down at her and replys "Your mother was really worried! She thought I might be able to cheer you up, so I'm happy she was right!"
The two of them continue watching the movie in silence while Niall hugs her from behind again. When the movie is over Niall hops off the bed and takes off his hoodie. "Oh god! It's so warm in here!", he says and Lennja looks at him. "What? No it isn't! It's freezing!" Niall laughs and hands her his hoodie. "Here, take this! I guess I got warm by you leaning against me!"
She gladly takes Niall's hoodie and throws it on. "You look so cute in my hoodie! It's way to big!", he comments and Lennja hides her hands in the sleeves and stands next to Niall. "Thanks for always being there for me! Even if I don't tell you what's wrong you always know it! Thanks for being my best friend!"
Just as Niall wants to respond her phone beeps so she looks at the notification and sees it's an Instagram post from her ex. Of course she doesn't want to open it and look at it, but... she just kinda has to. She opens it and sees a picture of her ex making out with a girl. The post has the caption 'Best girlfriend ever! Love you lots❤️' "That idiot!", Niall says from behind her.
Lennja immediately starts crying again and Niall holds her close. "I bet he was che...", Lennja starts but can't even say it because she doesn't want it to be true. "He is an idiot! Everyone who doesn't treat you right is! Block him! He doesn't deserve you!", Niall says and adds "You're perfect! And everyone who doesn't see that is blind!"
Lennja looks at Niall and he wipes away her tears again. "You're the best, Niall! I don't... I don't know what I'd do without you!", she replys still breathing heavily and holding back her tears. "I don't knkw what I'd do without you! You're my favorite person!" "You're my favorite person in the entire world!" The two of them get lost in eachothers eyes for a moment.
Niall puts his hand on her cheek after tucking a strand of her hair that was in her face behind her ear. "Niall?" "Yes?" "I really like you!" "I really like you, too!" "How much?" Niall is totally confused because he doesn't know what she's up to. "You're everything to me! You are my world!", he explains which makes Lennja smile a little. "I love your smile!", he adds when he sees it.
Niall lifts her chin and continues by saying "You're the best friend anyone could ask for! Whoever disagrees is a jerk! I love you..." Lennja looks at him wide-eyed. "Did you really just say that?" "What?" "That you love me..." "Oh, shit... I didn't... I mean I guess I did... but I didn't intend on saying it... I mean..." Before he can finish Lennja goes onto her tipytoes and slightly brushes her lips onto his. They barely touch but they do touch enough for Niall to place his hands on her hips and pull her closer.
When she stands normally again Niall says "Jump!" "What?" "Jump!" She's totally confused but jumps a little anyway. Niall catches her in the air and Lennja wraps her legs around his torso. He presses his lips on hers more intense and intimately than Lennja had before. Lennja immediately kisses him back and lays her arms around his neck.
Niall walks backwards a little to find the bed. As soon as he feels the bed at his legs he turns around and lays Lennja down. "I love you!", Lennja says and smiles. "I love you more!" "That's not possible!" "Please don't let us fight over who loves who more!", Niall laughs and Lennja joins in. "Agreed!" They press their lips on eachothers again and both of them smile during the kiss as they've been waiting for it a long time now already.
