4. meet me down there

(Jinx's Pov)

After I ate I walked back upstairs into my room. I sat on my unmade bed and plugged my phone into the charger. I heard it vibrate and it was another text from my mom, it read 'I miss you... Please talk to me already' I deleted the message and put on Halsey blasting her music around my room. I danced while putting all my clothes away.

Once I finished putting my clothes away it was 10:30 so I decided to take a quick shower. I walked into my bathroom (yes I had my own bathroom) and turned on the shower waiting for it to warm up I put some Arctic Monkeys letting their music fill my bathroom. I stepped in the shower letting my brown wavy hair soak in the warm water. I had exceptionally long hair so I stood there waiting for my hair to get fully soaked. I closed my green eyes and thought. About my mom, my dad, Dash, school, and surprisingly I thought about Matt.

I jumped out of the shower with a towel around my body and I went to get a bra and underwear, and walked back into the bathroom slipping my bra and underwear. I walked out of the bathroom searching for some clothes while dancing to the random song playing from my phone. I turned around noticing I didn't have my curtains closed and Matt was laying on his bed reading the same book I saw him reading outside a few hours ago. So, I quickly ran over to my window to close the curtains when Matt turned his head but quickly turned back to his book blushing, and in the process I was blushing as well.

I grabbed my banana shirt and some black joggers and put my damp wavy hair into a bun. (Outfit at the top) I ran downstairs to get a snack from the fridge realizing that we had no food when I turned around and saw Dash with his head in the counter. "Dash... You good bro?" I asked. He lifted his head "Yeah I'm just fucking starving" he said groaning. "Same wanna walk and see if they got any food stores around here? I laughed asking him. "Nah Jinx I'm tired and I gotta get up early tomorrow because Dad is taking me to his work to see if he can get me a job or some shit." he responded. "Alright, night" I said as he walked up the stairs. "Night Jinx love ya" he said tiredly. "Love you too" I responded.

Damit I'm so hungry. I turned to look at the oven clock and saw it was 12:01 so I ran up the stairs tripping but ignoring my pain and running to my balcony. "Ow fuck" I said as I opened my sliding doors. "You alright there" I heard Matt chuckle. "Yeah I kinda tripped walking up the stairs" I said laughing along. I just stood there realizing I didn't have anything to sit on. "Mattttttt" I said whining. "Whhhhhaaatttt" Matt copied. "Can we go get some food?" I pleaded. "Jinx what's your favorite color?" Matt asked. "Matt you aren't answering my question." I laughed. "Jinx what's your favorite color?" He asked again with same facial expression as last time. "Praeekple" I responded with a straight face. "Jinx what the fuck?" He said laughing. "It's a combination of colors, I made up the name" I responded laughing. "What colors?" he asked. "It's rainbow, but everyone would tell me that rainbow wasn't a color so now I just say my favorite color is praeekple and no one questions it." I explained. "I think rainbow's a color" he answered. "THANK GOD YOURE THE FIRST PERSON THAT AGREES" I sighed loudly. "Now can we go get food?" I asked. Matt laughed and nodded. "I'll meet you down there in 5" Matt responded pointing to the sidewalk that went in between our houses.

I peaked my head in Dash's room making sure he was asleep then peaked my head in my dad's room making sure he was sleeping as well. Then I went to the front door slipping my converse on and putting my phone in my pocket. I slowly opened and closed the door making sure I had my key and then I saw Matt standing right where he said to meet him. He was swaying on his heels and to feet back and forth wearing an obey sweatshirt and grey sweatpants with black vans and his hair was all messy, it was cute. I walked up to him and he slowly turned to me smiling. "Jinnnnnxxxx" I heard him whine. I just laughed and said. "Mattchew take me to the food" So he started walking and I caught up walking next to him. I didn't know where we were going but that was the fun part.
