When Jaemin entered the room, the mood was very different to the one in Jeno's studio. The model had ordered a bottle of champagne, along with some fruits to snack with his guest. Jaemin had no idea why he was invited in the first place, but things seemed serious.

"I know you don't drink, but can I offer you a glass of champagne? It's my favorite one." Jeno's voice was sweet and passive. The raspiness of it made it sound a bit flirty.

"Sure, a glass won't hurt anyone." Jaemin took his glass and waited for Jeno to fill his.

"I want to make a toast for the time you've invested in styling me. You literally saved my career the first time we met. I know I'm a douchebag and my personality is very shitty, but I truly am grateful. So, cheers to that."

Their glasses touched and they took a long sip. Jaemin hated the bitter taste of the champagne, yet he still drank it because he was witnessing a very rare event; Lee Jeno opening to him.

"Okay, what's the catch? Are you going to ask me to style you for another event?"

"Actually, I want you to keep styling me. But that's not it, I wanted to apologize to you... for everything." Jeno was sitting in the bed. Jaemin stopped walking around the room to look at him.

"I'm sorry. What was that?" Jaemin came closer to make sure he listened correctly.

"I said I'm sorry for everything, Jae. I've been giving you a hard time since the first day. My field is very competitive, and I didn't always have this fame. It cost me many tears and sacrifices." Jeno finished his glass of champagne.

"Why are you telling me this?" Jaemin poured another drink for both.

"I feel like I owe you an explanation. I don't want you to think that I'm a terrible person. It might be hard to believe, but I have my good days every now and then."

Jaemin laughed a little too loud. "I'm sure Mark and Hyuck think otherwise."

"I'm their boss, obviously they hate me, except when they get their fat paychecks."

Jaemin was very pleased with this version of Jeno. The champagne helped loosen the tension in the room, making them laugh as they chatted throughout the night. They were both now sitting in the balcony of the suite.

"Remember that question you asked me before? About Kun?" Jaemin thought he should stop torturing Jeno with that situation.

"Yes?"

"He's not my boyfriend, at least not now. We dated a couple of years ago but we drifted apart. You know, adulting and stuff." Jaemin gave Jeno a side look, expecting his reaction.

"Then why bring him here? Are you trying to get back with him or something?" Jeno was genuinely clueless about Jaemin's machiavellian plan.

"Even if I could, I wouldn't. Kun is a very rigid person and it can be draining at times." That being said, Jaemin didn't regret a single second spent with him.

"Then why did you bring him?"

"Thank God you only get paid to look pretty." Jaemin mocked Jeno. "Do you really want to know?"

"This sounds like it will get interesting, so, more drinks?" Jeno didn't have any intentions on getting Jaemin wasted, but he did want to keep the conversation going.

"I can't, I need to get back home soon." Jaemin was already feeling the effects of the bubbly drink hitting him.

"I'll drive you, you'll be fine." Jeno quickly poured more of the yellowish liquid before Jaemin could complain. "Now proceed. What are you plotting with this Kun guy?"

Jaemin looked away, contemplating the city before speaking. "I have a slight suspicion that this one guy likes me and I wanted to see his reaction when he saw me with someone else." His eyes met Jeno's, who was staring at him with confused eyes.

"Is that so?" The pieces started to get together in Jeno's head. Could it be possible he was the guy Jaemin was talking about?
"Yes. He's constantly giving me mixed signals and acting up around me, almost like he's begging me to put him in his place." Jaemin stood up to grab some of the grapes on the table.

Jeno followed, standing on the railing of the balcony. "Sounds like a douchebag." He walked a bit closer, his shoulders touching Jaemin's as they both looked at the city. "Maybe that's exactly what the guy wants."

Jaemin turned around to finally face him. "There's only one way to find out." They were now so close they could feel each other's breaths. Jaemin's dominant aura was making Jeno feel small, vulnerable. None of them said anything for the next few seconds until the model broke the silence.

"Did you get an answer to that suspicion you had?" Jeno raised his hand to gently stroke Jaemin's hair.

"Oh, I did. And I can't put into words how aroused I felt with his reaction."

That last comment made Jeno choke with his drink. Jaemin had been showing his true colors lately, letting him know how bold he could be. The model didn't dare open his mouth to reply.

"Why don't you take the chance and tell me what you really feel, Jeno? No more games..." Jaemin put both of their glasses on the table. He wanted to grab Jeno's hands to give him the courage he needed.

"I-. Jaemin I don't-" Jeno's thoughts weren't translating properly as he spoke.

"It's okay. Take your time and gather your thoughts. I'm listening."

Jeno took a deep breath. The last time he confessed his love to someone he got rejected and mocked in front of his colleagues. Jaemin wasn't like the rest, but he was still afraid.

"I don't even know where to start. I really like you, a lot. I like how dedicated you are with your job, the evident talent you have and most of all, how confident you are whenever it comes to your art. And-" Jeno went quiet, lowering his head.

"And you wish you could be like this. I've studied you thoroughly, Jeno. I know what a fragile and insecure person you are. What exactly are you afraid of?"
Jeno spent months going to therapy to overcome his issues. Whenever his therapist brought up that same question, he never knew what to answer. Suddenly, having Jaemin around gave him the answer.

"Rejection. People treated me poorly when I started my career. Everyone stepped on my name, making me feel worthless. When I got my first collaboration I promised myself to never allow it anymore. The people around me created this monster."

Jaemin's heart shrank, almost feeling Jeno's pain reflecting on him. He remembered how he was in that same position when he joined Ten's academy. Since he decided to start his career without his family's support, people looked down on him for not being able to afford all the vanities they bragged about.

"I understand you, your feelings are very valid. But you know you can't hide in that shell forever, right? Some of us like the real you." Jaemin gave him a soft smile to comfort him.

"It's funny because not even my looks are enough."

"What do you mean? I like your bare face, your sharp jawline, your perfectly built torso, your almost edible abs..." As Jaemin mentioned each part, his hands traveled around Jeno's body to touch them.

Jeno felt short of breath. He hadn't been touched for the longest time and Jaemin wasn't making things easy for him. When he felt a hand opening his pant buttons, he stopped him.

"I'm not sure I can do this. I... It's been a long time." Jeno felt ashamed. He imagined Jaemin spent his college days doing different guys every night. He couldn't blame him though, Jaemin had a mesmerizing beauty.

"We don't have to. I can wait, but just know you're safe with me. I won't hurt you." And that's all it took for Jeno to close the space between Jaemin and him, smashing their lips together.

"Then take me inside. Spend the night with me, Jae."
