Three years had passed since Jeno and Jaemin formalized their relationship. Their date to Paris strengthened their bond, bringing them closer together. As soon as they came back, Jeno offered to move in together; he couldn't get enough of his boyfriend's company. At first, Jaemin rejected the idea but Jeno convinced him using the little space he had in his own apartment.
In the present, they were running around backstage, getting ready for the huge night they had ahead. After two years of hard work and sacrifice, Jaemin would finally present the brand he had been working on. Throughout their relationship, Jeno was of great help for his boyfriend's dream to come true.
"Honey, I'm about to go get ready. Do you need anything else from me?" Jeno asked his boyfriend, who was walking around.
"No, I'm just checking that all the models are ready. I feel like I'm going to vomit, Jen."
Jaemin had worked tirelessly for this day but his nerves were through the roof.
"You'll do just fine, Jae. We have worked on this for so long. Nobody does it like you do." Everytime Jaemin had a big event ahead of him, he got cold feet. He still remembered how he quit his job as head of the designer department in Ferragamo; only a couple of months had passed since he got promoted. He cried for days, but Jeno was there all along to help him through it.
Mark entered the room, looking for Jaemin. "Guys, I'm sorry to interrupt but I just wanted to let you know that people are already entering the venue." Between some of the changes that happened, Mark was now Jaemin's manager. Jeno practically forced him but he accepted, since it was his former boss' boyfriend.
"Oh my God! I'm going to be sick." Jaemin had to sit down for a bit to process the news.
"Did you really have to barge in and drop the news like that?" Jeno scolded Mark. He sat down to hug his boyfriend, who was almost shaking.
"I don't take orders from you anymore, don't talk to me like that. I also came to tell you that I need all the models ready to get changed. Jungwoo is ready for them in the dressing rooms." Since Jaemin was now an even busier person, they decided to hire someone new to help with the dressing during events.
"Does he have everything he needs? Make sure he understands the order of the clothes."
"I'm on it." Mark left the couple to go find Jungwoo.
"You should go get changed too, Jen. You're the opening of the event." Jaemin kissed Jeno's cheek gently.
During the development of the brand, Jaemin wanted to have someone as the face of the brand. They did many castings with hopes of finding the ideal person. At the end Jaemin gave up, since no one met the specifications he wanted: tall, sculpted body, sharp face and a fierce aura. One night over dinner, Jeno offered to sign an exclusivity deal with Jaemin's brand, becoming the face of it.
Jeno left to go get dressed with his new stylist. In the dressing rooms he met with his two friends, Renjun and Jisung, who were also modeling for Jaemin.
"Are you excited? It's a big day for him." Jisung asked.
"Oh, very much. He couldn't sleep last night. I had to stay up with him." Jeno replied.
"I have to say I'm very proud of you. I still remember that conversation we had in your old apartment. You see? People do change." Renjun gave his friend a warm smile.
"Thanks again, Ren. I was thinking we should go out to dinner as a group after the event. Bring Doyoung."
"For sure, he would love that."
The three friends entered their respective dressing rooms to wait for the stylist. Jisung was the first one to receive him. The stylist was a very tall and young looking guy, but seemed older than them. He had white hair and big eyes. Jisung was studying him in silence as the guy ordered his things around the room.
