Chapter 10 - The Wait

Minutes when by and Mike and Sully had not returned, Hardscrabble turned the door off "they're still in there!" Don said "until the authorities arrive, this door stays off" she told them all "no! you can't do that!" Squishy stormed in trying to get to the door "ENOUGH! I want this room cleared NOW!" Dean Hardscrabble dashed forward in front of Tanya with her wings open as the room closed from every monsters views which locked the dean and Tanya inside. Tanya was tense by the situation and Hardscrabble's and Squishy's outburst but it was a sensible thing to do "why am I here?" Tanya asked "I might need your assistance when telling the truth and you are currently the student I can trust.. it might sound better coming from a student or teacher with a different point of view" she confessed "oh.. I guess that could be something..." she thought about it while saying it. There was a red flicker on the door with a little adult scream which drew the attention of Hardscrabble and Tanya "what was that?" the dean asked "I don't know but I got a pretty good idea" Tanya responded on dean Hardscrabble's left side.

The flickering red light stopped after a few minutes only to have the lights severely light up and shine through gaps of the closed window to the crowd who were wondering and concerned to what was happening. Tanya and Hardscrabble then turned their attention to the wall of scream cans which were rattling, filling and steaming which made the door turn on itself, the scream cans started to fly around the room but Tanya moved a bit to avoid getting hit with one of them and turned their attention to the door but it was starting to break swiftly. "Hardscrabble get down-!" Tanya swiftly pushed Hardscrabble behind some scream cans that hardly moved but Tanya had no time to get cover as the door exploded making her smash against a wall to the exit and fall down my a bit of her horn snapped off as one of her horns wrongfully landed on a close and damaged scream can, Mike and Sulley, however, managed to escape the human world through the door "how- how did you do this..?" she asked looking as Sulley "Don't look at me.." he responded looking at Mike then he looked at Hardscrabble who did the same with Mike. Sulley looked at Tanya whilst still lying down but she wasn't moving but only her face "oh.. Tanya.. your horn..." Sulley said which made Mike and Hardscrabble look with devastation "you're... alive..." she mumbled weakly but loud enough which made them glare at her with concern.

The wall was being melted and knocked down by the CDA who took Mike and Sulley away whilst Hardscrabble remained to the side and followed them but stopped at the door telling a teacher to call the paramedics. "Tanya..!" Johnny called out as he entered the room to find her barely conscious "oh no.. Tanya can you hear me?!" he had tears in his eyes as he crouched over her "give them a minute?" asked Xavier to the dean "yeah maybe a couple until the paramedics arrive" she responded which eventually happened and the paramedics took her on a stretcher to the hospital where she could get treated.
