Weirdo on Maple Street
(Part 2)

She was dreading the car ride to Steve's. Bee wasn't really worried about Steve himself anymore, she was only really anxious about her future confrontation with Tommy and Carol. The notorious couple who had begun calling her a freak way before Steve ever even realized that was a word. Her plan was so far still intact for the most part. She would just tell everyone that she didn't feel well and that she was going to walk home. Easy.

"Bee, you do know we're not actually going to the assembly, right?"

Nancy queried from the front passenger seat.

"Yeah, I know. You're going to Steve's party right?"

Bee answered back.

Nancy held a confused smirk on her face.

"Yes, how did you know?"

She questioned further.

Bee didn't want to tell Nancy that Steve invited her, or that she had come by to see him earlier that day.

"Word got around. It only makes sense for his girlfriend to be there"

She continued staring out the window as they neared Steve's street. A few minutes went by and they could all faintly see the Harrington boy's house.

"Barbara, pull over."

Barb stopped the car in almost an instant.

"What?"

She asked with a confused expression.

"Pull over."

Nancy states again.

Barb does as she was told and puts the car into park.

"What are we doing here? His house is three blocks away."

Barbara asked, with a bewildered tone.

"We can't park in the driveway."

Nancy spoke with a smirked expression.

"And why not?"

Barb questioned her antics.

This entire situation was absolutely juvenile. Bee knew that Nancy was going to dress up for Steve just like she knew what was going to happen between the two later on. That could've been her Precognition kicking in. Another one of her problematic powers. She felt that something was off right then and there, but she couldn't figure it out and she couldn't really say anything. Whenever Bee snapped back into reality, she found that Nancy was now changing her top in the front seat.

"Is that a new bra?"

Barb asked her with an annoyed snarkiness in her tone. It obviously was. She was wearing it for Steve.

"No."

Nancy lied.

As soon as she got her shirt on, they all exited Barbara's Volkswagen Cabrio and started on the sidewalk towards the Harrington household. Bee was quite nervous. She hadn't been this nervous in a while. She didn't know why, and that feeling she felt earlier was getting stronger. The closer they got to the door the feeling got stronger, more forceful. What was happening? Steve luckily was the one to answer the door, and from what it looked like, Tommy and Carol were on the back patio near the inground pool.

"Hello-"

He cut himself off.

She could tell he was confused on why she deliberately came to his party despite her persistent past protests against it, although they were mostly against Tommy and Carol.
