D R A C O

it had been one week. a whole week since draco went to harry's dorm and ended their relationship. one week of pure loneliness for both of the boys — but none of them would admit that, of course.

it was a friday, and draco had double DADA first. he and blaise strolled down the hallway, side by side, as they approached their classroom. they sat down at their shared desk and listened to the lecture in silence.

since draco and harry had stopped talking, draco became more quiet. he was more into learning and studying, not just bullying and mocking. of course, he was still horrible to everyone except his inner circle, but he didn't make it his first priority anymore.

break quickly came along and the blonde made his way to his usual seat, besides his two best friends. pansy was currently talking about hermione granger, the girl who had asked pansy on a date last night. ever since then, the slytherin girl wouldn't stop talking about it.

of course, draco was happy for his friend. he knew pansy had a crush on granger for ages, so its nice that it's reciprocated. but it sucked for draco, as it just reminded him of his failed romance with potter.

draco figured it'd be better for his healing process to start referring to that stupid gryffindor as potter again, instead of his first name. it didn't work though, draco still had feelings for the boy, but he pushed them aside as he tried to focus on his friends and his studies.

"she's so pretty too, i love her hair. and don't even get me started on how smart she is!" pansy beamed as she spoke about hermione.
"that's so great pans, i'm glad you're happy!" blaise nodded, and then hit draco slightly with his elbow to hint that he should also congratulate their friend.
"yeah pansy, this is amazing news." draco forced a smile as he fixated his eyes on the black haired girl.

"thanks guys, your support means alot." the girl grinned as she looked down at her pumpkin juice and brought it up to her lips — taking a quick sip and swallowing the drink.

"what about you blaise, got a secret girlfriend?" she asked the boy, who she and draco already knew was as straight as a pole. after pansy came out, blaise took it as a sign to clarify himself being heterosexual.

"no, not me. i don't mind being single though." blaise shrugged, smiling supportingly.

"and dare i ask about you, dray?" she leant towards her blonde friend as she lowered her tone. "how's your crush on potter doing?"

"still as strong as ever, thanks." draco pushed the girl back gently with a forced laugh.
"i'm sorry draco, i know you really liked him." blaise pouted, his voice also quiet.
"it's okay guys, i'm fine — honestly." he reassured his friends, and they just nodded before reluctantly moving on.

it was best for draco to pretend he was alright to his friends. after all, there was nothing neither of them could do to stop the pain in his heart. so, he might as well just pretend it doesn't exist.

harry wasn't doing much better, and his friends all knew it. as he sat at his table, also during lunch, he vented on and on about draco to his two friends. he was very different to draco in this aspect, he decided to talk about his feelings instead of just ignoring them. it was a much healthier method of course, but draco didn't care.

"i just wish i knew why he lost feelings. was it something i did? was it the way i treated him? did i get too comfortable, too affectionate? maybe i scared him away..."

"harry calm down, remember to breathe." his friend, hermione, said. "whatever happened with malfoy, there's nothing you can do about it now. whats done is done, i'm sorry harry but its as simple as that. you have to accept that its time to move on."
"yeah haz, this isn't healthy." ron agreed.

in the week that malfoy had broken up with harry, he came to the conclusion telling ron was a necessity. it was unfair to keep his friend in the dark with something so important, ron deserved to know.

it was a tough thing to say, but rom immediately accepted harry and told him that he'd always love him. harry couldn't ask for better friends, because they simply didn't exist. he was ever so grateful for hermione and ron, and he remembered to tell them both everyday.

"i know, i just don't know how to move on. i really liked him, like alot..." he admitted, and could feel his eyes becoming watery. immediately, he wiped his eyes and sniffled, "i hate this." he groaned.
"its okay harry, this is a normal reaction. but from now on, you need to try move on." hermione stated, and harry nodded wordlessly.

"come on, lets talk about something else. 'mione what are you gonna wear for your date?" ron asked, and hermione instantly smiled at the thought. she too, had told her friends about her being bisexual. of course, they accepted her and were thrilled when she told them about pansy.

"i don't know! she's taking me to a café down diagon alley, and i can't wait." she beamed, and ron and harry smiled widely.
"aw, this is so great! when is it?" harry asked, and hermione instantly went pink.
"its on sunday, so about two days. i haven't got any idea for my outfit, oh god!" she began to stress, she needed to look beautiful for pansy.

"don't worry 'mione, we'll think of something." harry nodded, as did ron.
"thanks guys, this means so much!" she giggled.

after classes, the golden trio went into their common room as hermione started trying on outfits for the date.

at the second outfit, both the boys were sure that was the one.
"you look outstanding." ron noted, and hermione blushed at the compliment.
"thank you, ronald." she smiled.

it was settled, hermione and pansy had their date in two days! harry just hoped their romance would end better than draco and his...
