━━━━━━━━━━━ DAENA HADN'T LEFT HER CHAMBERS IN TWO DAYS. She was protesting in her own way, and no matter how many times Alicent would come visit her, or send Heleana to try and persuade her to go outside, she wouldn't budge. Even Aegon came to see her, and unlike everyone else, he didn't seem like he was trying to get her out. He simply came to entertain her. He knew what it was like to be forced to marry someone you don't want, and he understood Daena in a way she didn't expect him to. The two had fun and talked for hours before Alicent barged in and dragged Aegon away. Daena's pastime became boring after that.

She had decided not to marry that selfish brick she called her uncle, but she lacked a plan. The best one was to leave to Dragonstone immediately, but she had promised her mother to stay at Kingslanding. She was staying for Luke. If she had to stay at that god awful place to find information that could help her brother, she would. She didn't want him to end up like her; angry and without duty. She also knew what her mother and Daemon wanted from her.

Do whatever you must.

So, she just settled on not doing anything, like leaving her room or eating. Her protest was not working that well, seeing as while Alicent wasn't happy with her, she wouldn't do anything about it; like call off the betrothal between her and Aemond, who in fact Daena hadn't seen since he cornered her in the hallway.

Daena didn't mind though. She didn't particurarly want to see him. He clearly wasn't about to do anything about their upcoming marriage, and he seemed okay with it. It only made Daena more angry. How could he be okay with being forced into a marrige he did not want?

Her days were spent plotting— trying to find a way out of her mess, while her nights were spent worried for her future. Her dreams were not pleasant, and showed her multiple miserable futures each night, every time the new one worse than the one before.

On her third day of isolation, her soon to be husband barged into the room, his face in an angry pout. He walked over to Daena, who was sitting calmly on her bed wearing her thin sleeping dress. She raised her eyebrows at him expectantly.

"You were supposed to accompany me on a walk this morning," he snarled, aggravated.

Daena faked her confusion. "Oh, was I? Must've slipped my mind, dear betrothed," she said, putting emphasis on the last two words. She in fact did recieve a letter from Alicent the day before, informing her of this arrangement. She decided to ignore it, and the very same letter still laid on her table.
