"cool, where dad?" i shrugged sitting my bookbag in the living room before going to sit next to her at the table
"tell ma about the new girl" ej said as he looked through the pantry,
"first of all stop calling my mama ma she don't even like u frl secondly shut up ej"i mugged him before looking at my mom computer seeing a blueprint, she was and architect
"what new girl" she looked over her glasses at me
"it's nothing"i said slumping down into my seat
"purple has a lil crush"ej dragged out eating fruit snacks before looking at the computer as well

"you lie so much purple, we got her to join the club and she went to lunch with us and we gave her a ride home,"he said as i heard the alarm go off meaning my dad had got back home

"lumi.." i heard my mom mutter like she was in thought. i got up tapping ej and we eventually made our way downstairs to my room, i had the whole basement area renovated it's almost like a whole apartment down here.
"you talk to much, you started that chem work?" i looked through my bookbag looking for the worksheet

"oh what's her name?" she said as she continued unpacking boxes i took off my sweater leaving me in my white tee so i could help her
"her names blue, unique right?" i said as i placed some of the plates on the counter after taking them out of the boxes
"yeah," she stood there with her mouth slightly open like she had more to say but instead just decided against it
"yeah she's the president of this art club and i'm thinking about joining"i shrugged grabbing a knife to open another box
"you gonna be able to juggle basketball, art, school, and your business ?" she questioned making me nod hearing my dad come down the stairs
"hey pops"i said as he wrapped me up in a hug,we moved in a week ago but my dad just arrived home today, he's a pilot so he's gone often.
"how was your first day" he asked
"sounds like she's already making a friend or two"my mom answered before i could
"yeah i met a girl named blue and this guy named emaji,they were real sweet and made sure i didn't feel out of place" i shrugged
i made my way upstairs back into my room,i looked around seeing the mess i had made while trying to get ready for school i decided to turn on some music as i cleaned up. Shame by summer walker blasted as i started to pick clothes up from miscellaneous places in my room folding them before placing them back into my drawers
i heard my phone ding so i stopped doing what i was doing walking over to my desk checking my phone
