Euphemia wiped her eyes with a handkerchief as she looked at her children through the window of the Hogwarts Express. the twins had grown up so fast and were the best of friends.
Fleamont held his wife close to him as Lilac Potter, the youngest twin waved goodbye. With a loud whistle, the train began to move, the loud partings of the parents and their children blocking out the sound of James Potter saying goodbye to his parents.
Once out of sight, the twins went off to find a seat, only for a boy to run into James.
"Woah, mate. Watch where you are going." James glared.
"Sorry, trying to find a seat away from my mental cousins. Mind if I sit with you? The name is Sirius"
"Sure. I'm James, this is my younger twin, Lilac."
"Hi" Lilac smiled and followed the two boys.
"James, look, there is Peter." Lilac pointed in a compartment.
Peter Pettigrew was their childhood friend; he lived down the road from them, so naturally, they became friends.
Peter sat with two boys and a girl.
The girl had ginger hair and freckles and looked friendly. She was really pretty and engaged in conversation with a sandy-haired boy with scars along his face. He looked quite introverted and quiet, maybe he was just shy?
The final boy looked insanely grumpy. He was trying to get the girl's attention, but she was too busy talking to the scarred boy. The boy had raven black hair that looked a bit greasy and a big nose, but he seemed like he needed a friend.
"Come on." She said and grabbed her brother's hand. She knocked on the door and opened it.
"Do you mind if we sit? There are no other compartments?" Lilac asked as her brother and Sirius just walked in and sat down. Lilac and the girl gave a disapproving look. The raven-haired boy stared at Lilac in awe. She was rather beautiful.
"Of course not, please come in." the girl smiled.
"I'm Lily Evans."
"Lilac Potter, this is my older twin James."
"I'm Sirius."
"I'm Remus," The scared boy said
"I'm Peter, but those two know it. I've been their best friend for years and years." He said proudly.
"I'm Severus." the raven-haired boy spoke and looked to the group.
"Woah mate, don't look directly at me, your big nose will poke me in the eye," Sirius said loudly.
Severus looked down.
"That was rude Sirius." Lilac frowned.
"It was pretty funny" James laughed, but shut up as he saw his sister's glare.
"So. What house do you all hope for? Li and I are going to be Gryffindors, like every Potter before us." James said and puffed out his chest.
"Well, I wouldn't mind being in Hufflepuff, mum's late sister was a Hufflepuff."
"I haven't thought about it. I'm Muggleborn, so Severus had to tell me about Hogwarts."
"You are a muggle-born?" Lilac asked, Lily, looked down, afraid of what their reaction would be.
"That's so cool. Is it true you don't have chocolate frogs?" Lilac asked. Lily beamed
"Yeah. We have caramel-filled chocolate though." She beamed/
"I hope to be Slytherin. Lily, I hope you get Slytherin as well."
"Slytherin?!" James sneered
"Why on earth would you want to be there? Only wronguns get put in there, right Sirius?"
