Lilac beamed as the snow fell over Hogwarts. It had just become December, so they get to go home for Yule. Lilac was buzzing, jumping around. She was extra bubbly today. She walked down the hall and waved to Bellatrix, who waved back with a kind smile then went back to talking to her younger sisters when she collided with the person she wanted to see.

"Oh, Remus. I'm so sorry. I wasn't looking where I was going."

"Don't worry about it Li. Where are you off to?"

"I was trying to find you. I was wondering if you wanted to come and study in the library with me?" She asked

"I was heading there myself to meet Lily and her friend Alice."

"Mind if I tag along?"

"Free country." He shrugged and they walked to the Library.

Bellatrix watched as her favourite little badger walked off with a lion.

"Bella? Who is that girl?" Andromeda asked

"A sweet Hufflepuff that I'm looking out for. Sweet little thing." She told her sisters

"Hey, guys." Remus smiled at the two Gryffindor girls, who smiled as the duo sat beside them.

"Hi Lilac, this is Alice."

"We have met briefly. We were partners for a project in Herbology" Alice explained with a smile.

The group sat with their quills and parchment studying for Transfiguration, all was peaceful until Sirius, James and Peter sauntered into the library.

"There is my favourite little sister!" James cheered, disturbing everyone.

"Quiet!" The old professor hissed to the boys.

"You broke my concentration. I was happy studying." Lilac pouted

"That's a shame. What do you want for Christmas so I can get mum to pick it up?" He asked.

James, though he can be an arrogant toerag the majority of the time, was an absolute angel when it came to his sister. He melted when she smiled, his sister meant the world to her and he would do anything, give anything to keep her happy.

"You know I love whatever I am given." She smiled

"I know, but there must be something you want," He said

"Not really." She shrugged. James sighed and looked at his sister and squished his face in his hands

"You make me crazy." He said, making his twin giggle.

"Get back to studying." He said and hugged her before running off.

Lily, who had been in the company of James Potter without him asking her out, found the sibling's interaction quite adorable. Their connection was so strong. It made her envy their relationship. She wished she and Petunia had a relationship like the Potter twins.

Marena was once again incredibly bored. Evie slapped her forehead as she put French braids in her hair.

"Ow! Eve what the hell?!"

"Stop moving your head." She scolded as Lilac smirked while stroking Evie's cat.

"My cat loves you." Evie smiled

"I love your cat." She smiled and kissed its head.

"Your hair is done," Evie told her friend.

"I kind of want to dye my hair pink," Marena said looking at the ends of her hair.

"I help my mum dye her friend's hair, I could bring some dye back from the Yule break if you want?" Lilac suggested.

"Could you?" Marena asked eagerly.

"I'll ask over the break." She smiled as Evie's cat jumped off the bed and scratched the dormitory door. Evie opened the door to find Ross and Joseph holding cakes and treats.

"Come on ladies, let us in." Ross laughed. The girls pulled them in and they pulled their duvets, pillows and anything comfy and made a fort on the floor.

"How did you lot get up here anyway?" Lilac asked, laughing.

"We have pure intentions, so we can come up to the girl's dormitory," Joseph said.

"We need some music," Marena said, turned on the radio, and grinned as Fleetwood Mac began to play.

That is how the group of friends spent their night. Listening to music, eating junk food and gossiping.

Lilac skipped over to Severus, who was reading a book in the great hall.

"Mind if I sit?" She asked. He smiled and moved over a little.

"What you reading?" She asked

"Potions book."

"I don't think you need to read that, you are a genius at potions."

"There is always more to learn." He shrugged, making his friend smile.

"Then why don't I teach you how to make friendship bracelets?"

"Because I am not a Hufflepuff girl." He said, with a laugh.

"You sure? That long hair is confusing" Lilac nudged him

"You think I should cut it?" He asked

"No. I like your hair." She smiled. Severus puffed out his chest at the compliment.

He had been contemplating cutting his hair. People were cruel about it, but Lilac liked it, so he liked it. He was going to take good care of the hair on his head.

"Well, I need to go and make sure that my brother is packing his things. I'll see you later." She smiled and hugged him before running off to find her twin.

With a smile on his face, Severus headed back to the Slytherin common room and headed to Bellatrix, who was like a mother hen to the first-year Slytherins.

"Bellatrix, I need some advice."

Bellatrix looked at him and beamed as he asked if she can teach him how to take better care of his hair.

"It isn't that my hair is dirty. I wash it frequently-"

"You use too much conditioner and you wash it all the time. Try to do it two times a week, and don't use too much, no bigger than a sickle and don't condition your scalp, only the length." She advised. Severus nodded

"You haven't started to pack?!" Lilac asked her brother as he sat in the hallway. He sent her a sheepish smile

"I still have time, flower." He told her

"You have tonight. We leave in the morning."

"It's so much effort." He groaned and then looked at his sister

"No. I am not packing your things for you, James." She said with a serious look on her face, he sighed.

"Please" He begged.

"Not a chance. I'm heading back to the common room, love you."

"Love you too, sis" He smiled as she walked off. He sighed as he stood up. He could bribe Peter into doing his packing.

"Peter!!" He yelled as he ran off. Lilac, who was down the hall rolled her eyes at the laziness of her brother,
