Smut warning

Gulf had woken up ten minutes before Mew was due to arrive. He didn't know how he managed to sleep through the dozen alarms he had set the previous night. He did, however, feel refreshed both physically and mentally. It was a new day, a new day to spend with Mew and he was feeling very optimistic. On the contrary, Mew had woken up several hours before he had to leave. He began his day by sorting through the many emails he was yet to reply to and made note of the important ones. He then showered, washed his hair, styled it and went down to grab all his art things, placing them in a backpack that hung over one shoulder as he left his house and made his way to his car. Along his journey he came to the sudden realisation that he hadn't eaten any breakfast yet, he wondered if Gulf had. Assuming he had not, Mew parked in front of a small cafe. The atmosphere was filled with warmth and Mew made a mental note to take Gulf there sometime. It was friendly and calm and everything looked so nice. Mew picked up a few pastries, a hot chocolate that he prayed would still be warm for when he gave it to Gulf and a drink for himself. He was then back on the road to Gulf's condo.

The elevator ride up to the fourth floor was possibly one of the most awkward moments of Mew's life. Somehow, he had come face to face with an old business partner, they had been good acquaintances of one another and their parting had only benefited the both of them. He had smiled to Mew and offered a handshake to which Mew politely refused, his hands already occupied with drinks and a bag filled with pastries.

"Who are you visiting with all that?" The man asked, raising his brows and waiting for Mew to respond.

"Oh um, just a friend," Mew answered. The other gave him an incredibly suspicious look. Mew hoped he wouldn't press any further and the man seemed to recognise that as they reached Mew's floor.

"Okay, well have fun." And with that, Mew left the man and made his way to Gulf's door.

He was then greeted with Gulf peering around the door, his body hidden behind and Mew suddenly remembered how he asked Gulf to be as comfortable as he could be. Maybe he should have specified that Gulf could wear clothes. Though as Gulf opened the door further and invited Mew in, he realised the other was clothed in an oversized sweater and a pair of boxers, the black fabric peeking just beneath the sweater. His hair was messy; a cute kind of messy and Mew wanted to ruffle it. The door is closed behind Gulf and Mew takes a moment to look around. He's met with the kitchen to the left of him and just further ahead was Gulf's living room. Just from the two rooms visible to Mew, he could tell that Gulf's place had so much more personality than his own. There were pictures of family on the wall and movie posters and shelves with university books that he figured were from his first year from the amount of dust collecting on them.

"Sorry about the mess..." Gulf says to Mew's back. His voice is quiet and Mew can tell he'd only just woken up.

"Have you eaten?" Mew ignores the apology, he wouldn't have called Gulf's home messy, sure, there were things just about everywhere but it made it more personal; all the football awards and video games, they all meant something to Gulf.

Mew presents the bag of pastries to Gulf and pushes the cup of hot chocolate into his hand. "I remembered the first time we met, you were drinking hot chocolate so I thought..." Gulf's heart feels as if it could burst. It was the fact that he remembered and went out of his way to provide for Gulf that made his cheeks flush. Gulf goes to thank him by removing the space between them and placing a delicate kiss to Mew's cheek. "I also grabbed a few different pastries, I thought we could eat and talk about what I want to achieve then we'll get started?"

"Sounds good."

So they set themselves up at Gulf's dining table; the pastries between them as they make their way through the assortment. "Is what I'm wearing okay?" Gulf starts the conversation. He had only slept in the pair of boxers after finding he was getting too hot during the night and threw the first cleanest thing he found on.
