Loona's pov

After my little chat with Millie yesterday, I thought I had gained enough confidence to talk to him today, but instead, I kept getting more and more nervous the closer we got to the office. Just his being in the same room makes me happy we arrived at the office with Millie. I looked her dead in the eyes and told her what I was feeling.

Millie: Alright, are you ready?

Loona: I don't know if I can do this.

Millie: I'm sure you'll do great.

Loona: No, Millie I don't think I'm ready for this. I have too many confusing thoughts and feelings. I'm not sure what to do.

Millie: I'm sure you'll be fine.

Loona: I-I-I.

Millie: Relax, hun; I've never seen you this worked up before.

Lonoa:Well, I'm sorry for having a nervous breakdown.

I started to feel a little sick thinking about all the outcomes that could happen with such a simple interaction. He could say no or tell me to go away, but he might say yes. But I still don't think I was really ready to take such a huge step.

Loona: "I can't do this, Millie." I just can't.

Millie: Of course you can.

Loona: You're not listening. I'm not ready to take such a huge step.

Millie: Loona, do you love him?

Loona: Yeah, of course I do.

Millie: Then just take some deep breaths like this. In and then out. Just relax, hun; walk up and ask for his number. It's as simple as that.

Loona: Maybe for you anyway.

Loona:Alright, I'll try.

I took a deep breath and walked into the office.

Millie: Good luck, hun.

Loona: Thanks.

We walked into the office and saw Y/N on the couch. As usual, Millie walked off, leaving me and Y/N alone. Here goes nothing.

Y/N: Hey Loona, what's up?

Loona: Hey, Y/N Blitz needs everyone to have each other's phone numbers, and since you don't have mine yet, I figured I'd give it to you now.

Y/N: Well, alright, then hand me your phone.

We hand over our phones to one another and exchange phone numbers. I tell him I'll see him later, hide around the corner and give a long sigh of relief, and simply say, "Holy sh*t, I did this to myself in my mind over and over again." I hold my phone to my chest and let out a small happy sigh. I looked at the contact and simply titled it Y/N, but I felt like something was missing. I thought an emoji might be the missing thing. I looked through the emojis and came across the hearts. I mean, he's not going to see me do this, right? I looked back and forth and tapped the red heart emoji. I smiled to myself while I held my phone to my chest. I heard someone with small footsteps running over to me. I looked over to the source of the noise and saw Millie dashing up to me at full speed with eyes brighter than the night sky.

Millie: So tell me, how did it go?

Loona: "I did it.

Millie:Aww, good for you, hon. I'm so proud of you.

Loona: Alright, alright, keep it down. I don't need him to know I'm all lovey-dovey for him yet. I need to wait for the time to be right.

Millie: Oh, right, yeah, I got a little excited, that's all.

Loona: It's alright; just try to keep it down in the future.

Millie: I will.

Y/N'S POV

So I've got Loona's phone number. I'm sure this won't make all that much of a difference, right? Loona seems to like to keep to herself, at least from what I've seen. But at the same time, she also seems to want to spend some time with me; she's most likely just curious since she's only been to Earth once or twice.

Blitzø's pov

I left my office to go get something to drink, but something was off. I snapped my head towards Loona's desk and saw she was smiling. She was finally smiling again. I walked over to her and began to talk.

Blitzø: Hey Loony, what are you smiling about?

Loona: Oh, nothing much.

Blitz: Let me guess a certain employee.

Her cheeks slightly turned red, meaning I was right on the money.

Loona: NO!

Blitz: Are you sure? I think he's all you think about these days.

Loona: Shut up.

Blitz: Alright, alright, I'll leave you be.

I walked off, continued, and went inside my office. Does she think I can't read her sudden mood changes? I could tell she has a crush on him, and she made that pretty damn clear since she blushed.

*time skip* Y/N'S POV

It was just about closing time at I.M.P., so I thought a little more sleep wouldn't hurt anyone. I began to slowly drift off to sleep, and I began to have another nightmare just like the other ones I've had; it always started the same. I was chained down to a chair, and seeing scientists and other government officials looking at me, they kept telling me I was some sort of abomination, a mistake, a monster. They then began to experiment on me; it was always the same ones: it started with me being shot, then stabbed, then shocked, and finally burned. It was always these things they would do to me without mercy. It was like some sort of time loop or my version of hell. They all looked like they enjoyed it too. Once that was over, I woke up with a cold sweat dripping from my forehead. I looked around the office, breathing heavily.

Y/N: Fuck not again. It's always that damn nightmare. What does it mean, and why do I keep having it?

I heard someone coming towards me and noticed Loona was still in the office for some reason.

Loona: I heard you talking to yourself; is something wrong?

I could tell she was concerned just from her tone of voice. I can't lie to her right now; I should just tell her the truth.

Y/N: It's nothing to freak out over, Loona; just a bad dream is all.

Loona: You sure? It looked like a little more than that.

Y/N: I'm fine. Loona I'm just going to go get some water and head back to sleep.

As I'm heading over to the counter, I feel a tight grip on my wrist. I looked over and saw Loona still looking at me with that same look of worry and concern from earlier. She spoke in a bit softer tone than normal.

Loona: You can talk to me; you know that, right? No matter what it is, I'll listen.

Y/N: I know Loona, but it's nothing to worry about. I'm fine.

Loona: You promise you're not hiding anything from me?

Y/N: I promise, Loona, now can you please let go of my wrist? Your claws are digging into my skin.

Loona: Oh, right, sorry.

Loona's pov

Once I let go of his wrist, I walked over to the door and locked the office. Once that was done, I began to journey back to my place, lost in thought, thinking about what happened in his nightmare—was it personal, like the way he died or something? Wait, he looks more human than Damon. Are we sure he's even dead? From what we know, Y/N could be the first human to ever live in hell. I'm so confused about him; he said he's not hiding anything, but I have a feeling something about his past is still haunting him, and I will figure out what it is, even if it's the last thing I do.
