Sitting on the edge of their youngest daughters bed, the two exchanged a look. The children all had difficulty falling asleep tonight. The hardest in a long time.
"Tyler, are you sure we should?" Bonnie whispered to the father of her children.
"I know we brought them here to help them learn control, and find answer we couldn't find, but perhaps moving into the mansion is not a terrible idea. We can set up wards, and protection." Tyler sighed. He should have taken Matt up on the offer immediately.
"True, but..." Bonnie started, but she really couldn't find the words to finish her sentence. Maybe Tyler was right this time.
"It wouldn't just be for their safety Bon, but for others." He whispered glancing at his youngest daughter, who was fast asleep.
"It's just, shouldn't they be around other children with similar gifts?" Bonnie asked, but she wasn't confident in her answer. She had chosen to keep the children away from Mystic Falls, but everywhere has supernatural beings it seemed.
"I know you think this is the right choice, but this place is also a magnet for supernatural. They could still attend school here." Tyler exclaimed standing up.
Pacing back and forth barefoot along the wooden planks of the children's room. The mansion would be safest, not just for the children, but for the others in the school, from the children. Tyler gave Bonnie a pleading look, but she just sat there in silence for, what felt like an extended period of time.
"Ty I understand what you're saying... But..." Bonnie's words fell short and she wrapped her arms around her self, rubbing her arms.
"Bon, you said it wasn't..." Tyler started, only to be pulled from his sentence.
Lexa had started to stir in her sleep. Sleep was the only time the children didn't seem to have their consistent connection to other worlds.
"Let's talk about this in one of our rooms." Bonnie said moving to pull the blanket back over their smallest child.
Nodding Tyler turned on his heel and quietly made his way out the door.
After Bonnie had told him earlier about her conversation with Jeremy, and the fact her intuition was uneasy about the person they had heard outside Bonnie's door, made him uneasy. The worst part is he couldn't even sense who it was. Not even a scent.
Tyler had taken it upon himself to ask both Caroline and Alaric if they had been outside Bonnie's room. That however had only made the both of them more uneasy as well. It hadn't been them, and it wasn't Jeremy. Perhaps it had been one of the twins, although that seemed unlikely.
Glancing to look at Bonnie as she exited their children's room, Tyler shook his head.
"I have a bad feeling Bonnie ... There are other students and teachers in this mansion, one of them could have found their way in here. When I woke up this morning... The protection spelled had already been lifted."
Bonnie shot him an 'I know' look then starting clasping her hands together. She knew that, Tyler had already informed her of such. They left that part out when talking to Caroline and Alaric.
Turning to face the childrens room again she paused, before lifting her hands, placing a protection spell, and then a cloaking spell over the room Bonnie sighed to herself studying the glass doors. She was starting to think even more so, that perhaps Tyler was right on this thing, maybe the mansion would be best. She could protect them better without other magical beings, and they could still attend the boarding school.
Tyler looked at his watch before glancing at Bonnie. "Matt will be here any minute... What are we even going to tell him?"
Bonnie shrugged looking at the old Wooden floor boards of the Salvatore boarding school. Alaric and Caroline had kept the same rustic boards that Bonnie remembered, although it looked newer.
