Matt shut the door to his sheriffs car letting his eyes scan over the report in his hand. He was completely unaware that he had five sets of eyes looking at him, three with utter curiosity. "He is cute Auntie Vick" Lexa said giggling with a tiny gloved hand over her mouth"

"Hey Vick" Tyler said to the air chuckling as he ruffled Ben's hair, who was sitting between his sisters.

Livy took her seatbelt off and leaned up to whisper in Tyler's ear "not as cute as you though" Livy said matching her sisters giggle.

Bonnie shook her head laughing before she finally stepped out of the drivers seat. "Matt!" She called.

Matt brought his sunglasses down his nose with a raised eyebrow and turned. He face lit up and he dropped the file into his open window catching Bonnie mid run.

He wrapped his arms around her and lifted her off the ground, hugging her tightly. "Bon! You're here!" He groaned in excitement hugging her tighter. His same charming grin he always had when he seen her on his lips.

"I am!" She grinned back hugging him back just as tight.

Matt sat her down on her feet again "Elena is gonna flip when she finds out, she'll be having me take you with me to supper tonight instead of the blind date Damon might have let slip she was trying to set me up on" he had to laugh.

However, Matt's laugh was short lived when the grin that had appeared on his friends lips disappeared "oh no, what's wrong? Please don't tell me... Mystic Falls hasn't had any attacks in atleast three months"

Bonnie laughed lightly, "three months? You sure?"

"Okay two, but almost three" he smirked for a moment his eyes falling onto her lips that were being chewed on nervously by her perfectly white teeth. "I'm really happy to see you
Bon, I was hoping this was finally not a business call, you haven't been home in 6 months."

Bonnie pressed her lips together with a sigh. She glanced down taking one of her friends hands between her two. "It's not a business call, but I do have something to tell... well rather show you. Promise me you won't be upset?"

Matt gave her a cautious look, his baby blue eyes concentrating on her piercing green ones. "That's not really reassuring Bon..."

Matt let go of her hands and took a step back "alright" he said with a sigh, "rip the bandaid off please."

Bonnie gave him a nod and motioned her hand towards the Durango "vitae"

Matt jumped back as the door to the passenger side opened up and out popped his best friend, or former best friend seeing his was supposedly dead. "Tyler?!" Matt asked unsure of what he was actually seeing. "What the?" He looked at Bonnie confused.

"Tyler?" Matt asked pushing his sunglasses onto his head to study the sight before him. He narrowed his eyes brows in confusion. His emotions unreadable.

Bonnie stepped back offering a clear path for Tyler. Tyler started to walk towards his friend rubbing the back of his neck "it's really me man"

"I thought you were dead?" Matt said. His expression was blank, as was his body language.

"Well I mean... this is mystic falls..." Tyler offered standing directly in front of Matt.

"You came back from the dead?" Matt asked before shaking his head "you know what I don't wanna know, nor do I really care, come here man!"

A grin that took up Matt's entire face now replace the blank expression that was there moments ago. He pulled Tyler into his arms in a massive hug, Patting his back. "Tell me this isn't a dream please"
