After school I went home and got my homework done as usual, but by the time I was finished with it all, it had already gotten dark and It was dangerously close to nine o' clock. So  packed up my things and drifted to sleep

Suddenly I thrashed awake and at first I laid there in my bed, befuddles as to why I woke. But then I heard it..... The clashing of thunder and the beating of rain against the windows.

Lightning flashes filled the room from time to tome with white light, lasting no longer then a few seconds each time. I knew that soon it would begin to flood my lawn and leave behind mud.

I shivered....It was just like that horrid night...

I whimpered and hid underneath the covers of my bed, with every lightning flash and clash of thunder, a part of the memory resurfaced. I was only six years of age when my village was burned to a crisp.

I had hid amongst the boulders and rubble with my father, brothers, sisters, and the rest of the survivors. The soft padding of feet had made my tiny heart quicken in pace and thud uncontrollably within my small chest.

That was the night they dragged my screaming, sobbing, squirming body through the rain that poured down endlessly after my village was destroyed. The rain had made my clothes stuck to me as if it too were terrified.

Mud streaked my cheeks and I struggled to escape their deathly grasp on my arms and legs. My hair clung to my neck and back, soaked with rain water. The weather seemed to go with the situation.

Suddenly the next thing I knew I had apprehended them and was running through a dark forest. I tripped several times before finally reaching a log that seemed to shield the inside of itself, keeping the inside dry.

I sobbed and curled into a ball inside the log as the thunder roared above. That was when I met Saraphina Nightblade....

I cried out for the comfort of my mate, and as he came running to me from the other room, my body shook with sobs.  I cried in Death's arms as he hugged me and whispered comforting words in my ear at a attempt to comfort my shaking figure.

He agreed to sleep by my side and look after me as I would sleep. I slowly began to drift to sleep when I felt his arms gently wrap around my waist in a comforting manner.

I sensed people watching over me and I knew that I would be safe as long as Death, my father, my mother, my bestfriends, and my uncle was around....After all....Lucifer always had a soft spot for me, Christina, and Saraphina.....
