The scientist whom had hid me, came back and let me out.
As I crawled out I saw the other scientist, a woman laying on the ground with a bullet hole in her stomach as a pool of blood starts to surround her and the lights in her eyes start to fade.
As if on instinct I ran to her and put my dainty hand over the wound.
Then I started to sing the song my mother used to sing to me when I was hurt and as I sang the last note and took my hand away, I saw something that surprised me.
The light in the woman's eyes shined bright once more but then she gets a blackout. How did I do that?
I wonder to myself as I stare at my hands. The other scientist whom had hid me was a male, and he spoke saying "my name is Austin, hers," he points to the woman "is sapphire." I spoke, my voice quivering, full of fear and asked "why did you people help me?
Why not let your master take me?" I was so confused.
"Our master would misuse your powers, you must hide. I am going to make a portal and I want you to run, go through the portal and run all the way to the dragons cave, you'll be safe there." He said as he made the portal.
I soon jumped through the portal and ran as fast as I could, it was not long until I heard hooves chasing me and men on the powerful horses screaming.
Just as the got me into a corner and the men were closing in, a giant wolf jumped in front of me protecting me from them.
The wolf nipped at the horses feet and drove the men back a few paces, the wolf then spoke to me saying "child what are you doing here in the neither, this is a very dangerous place. I can sense you want to go somewhere, tell me where as I'll take you."
I was still scared so I replied "the dragon's cave". The wolf laid down and told me to get on his back and hold on, so I did as I was told.
The wind was flying through my hair and enveloping me and we rushed through the forest and the horses and their riders were after us once more.
The wolf's giant paws thundered against the ground and we kept over rocks and boulders. When we finally arrived I was astonished at the beautiful yet dark cave and.at the same time I was scared.
I took shaky steps into the cave until I was enveloped in darkness them suddenly a pair of giant completely purple eyes stared back. I could feel a small string if smoke twirl around me and I giggled.
"Can I call you Smokey?" I asked. The dragon chuckled and it's thoughts boomed off the walls like he was talking into a speaker "yes child. I have predicted this, for I have seen you in my visions."
The dragon soo. Took me in as his own and treated me like I was his child. The dragon kept me safe and healthy, he taught me how to fight but I still went to school to learn. Before I knew it, I was in high school.
