*Rozalina's POV*
As soon as I saw the news, I ran upstairs to my room and texted my friends:
Have you seen the news?
Michelle responded, "Yeah, what are we gonna do?"
Erik texted, "We have to follow what was written on our letters, so we cannot take the pill."
Then, Nia texted, "Yeah but aren't there gonna be consequences."
"We'll just have to go with the flow," Erik texted back.
Everyone had seen the texts so we agreed to refuse the pill.

It was the next day and I headed onto the bus. Everyone was talking about the mysterious pill.
"I'm a bit suspicious, what does this pill do?" a girl said.
"Relax, the government wouldn't hurt us," a boy next to her replied.
I didn't know what side to be on. Why would the government give us a pill that nobody knows about? But then again, what if this pill was truly harmless?
We arrived at school and I immediately spotted something unusual. There were guards at the entrance and they were making us line up.
I tried to spot my friends but even with my height, I couldn't. There were so many people you couldn't tell who was who.
I looked towards the front and saw a guard giving everyone a pill and waiting for them to swallow it. So far, no one was refusing. I was scared. What if we were the only ones that refuse?
I then heard a few gasps towards the front. I stood on my tiptoes to see what was going on. I couldn't tell until I saw Erik being dragged out in handcuffs.
"Erik!" I shouted and ran towards him.
"Back up," the police officer told me.
"That's my friend," I said.
"He refused to take the pill," the officer said.
"Don't take it," Erik mouthed.
All my other friends came over to me.
"What did he say?" Nia asked.
"Don't take it," I whispered.
The guards ushered us back in the queue and we waited for our turn.
One by one, I saw my friends getting arrested. I tried to keep calm as I knew this is what we had to do. Soon, it was my turn.
"Take the pill," the guard said.
"No!" I shouted.
The police officers dragged me away into a van.
My friends and I were all in the same van and we all were scared. What was going on?
