Chapter 3

After shift was over Jacoby text her to see how she was feeling. Jordan was about to respond when she got a call. A stranger said," Hello may I speak to Miss Jordan Parks." Jordan said, "This is her how may I help you." "Well see we have a male named Drew Parks here at Deerpath Hospital, he is in his late fifties. He wanted to call you to tell you he was in the hospital because he just had a major heart attack. We don't know if he will make it. But we would like to know if you will come down." "Yeah sure but I have a problem I can't drive do to doctors' orders but I should be there within the hour OK." "Thank you Miss Parks see you soon" As soon as Jordan got off the phone she called Will because her mom had died in a car accident a couple years back she couldn't lose her father. So the closest person to Jordan was Will. Will saw his phone was ringing he saw it was Jordan and wondered if everything was OK. Will answered it, Jordan said," Will come to my apartment pick me up and take me to Deerpath Hospital because my dad is there right now he suffered a really bad heart attack and they don't know if he will make it." Will said, "Jordan I am on my way don't worry OK. I will be there shortly." Jordan was getting sick because she wasn't ready to lose her dad too. Will was worried to because he wasn't ready to lose his friend either. So the two of them waited, waited and waited until the doctors had answer. Finally a doctor came to Jordan, Will and the Fire Department chief who also got the news and decided to show up. He wanted to help Jordan because he really liked her; he treated her as his own. Doctor said, "Miss Parks I am so sorry but your dad passed away during surgery." Jordan was in shocked and didn't know how to react but then all she could do was sob and Will and the chief just sat there with disbelief on their faces they had just lost a brother, coworker and a friend. All they could do was hold Jordan there and help her through this time. While Jordan was sobbing she couldn't pick up her phone let alone dial any numbers. Will had taken her back to her place and just sat on the couch still not ready to let his friend go. Jordan didn't want to call anyone, Will got the list of family members and friends, and he called them all for Jordan because she wasn't strong enough yet to do it. Will's day was a horrible day starting his first call with taking Jordan to the hospital and ending with being at the hospital waiting on news about Drew's medical status. Will just couldn't handle the loss of Drew, it was hard. The chief told Will to not come in for a couple of days and just to keep an eye on Jordan during this time. The Chief was going to call in all of the paramedics/firemen in to tell them about Drew's passing. This was going to be hard because a lot of people looked up to Drew. Jacoby had found out about Jordan's dad so he figured out why Jordan wasn't answering anything from Facebook messages, texts messages and phone calls.

Chapter 4

Before the funeral Jordan had called Jacoby. She told him that they shouldn't come out as a couple until after the funeral because it is really hard right now. Jordan also told him that Will knew about them dating.He stayed away from Will and Jordan because he was afraid of Will right now. Not many people really knew that they were dating. During the death of Jordan's father she still managed to go to the academy and train for the Olympics. Jacoby and Jordan finally had  came out as a couple and Jordan couldn't have been more happier. Even though it had been three months since her dad passed away  and Will continually called Jordan to check on her. But one day out of the blue Jordan said," Will I am not sure if I want to continue to train for the Olympics." Will was shocked by this because that is all she ever wanted to do and that is all what her dad talked about doing. Will answered, "Follow what your heart says. Well I am at the station so I will talk to you later." When Will got to the station he found Jacoby. Jacoby said to Will," Hey Will. You okay because you look like you are going to kill someone." Will answered," I am and it is you." "Why? What did I do?" "Well your girlfriend has been working her ass off to go to the Olympics and doesn't want to go. Her father wanted to have her do these Olympics because she had the talent and the background of this." "Well if you think it is because of me it isn't. I already got tickets and it is in a week. I am going and she is too." "Well Jacoby try to convince her to do it because I didn't pay thousands of dollars to have it thrown away. We are done. Good Bye." Jacoby had just finish his shift and he went over to Jordan's house to help her study for her big test which she was taking early because of the Olympics. When he got there she wasn't feeling good so he laid with her for a little bit. Jacoby asked Jordan, "Babe are you thinking of not going to Quebec next week." Jordan said, "I was debating it because I don't think I will make you happy. You never seen me play and plus Will is going to be there and I don't know. I just miss my dad so much that I don't think I will play my best." "Jacoby answered, "Babe, just play like your dad is in the stands. I mean Will and I will be there. Some of your friends will be there. Babe you make me happy whenever I see you or see you do something you love." Jordan said," I know I do. You want to go on a six mile run with me." Jacoby says," Sure but then we have to study for that test of yours." "Fine get ready babe." So after they get back from their run, they got naked. They both hop into the shower together. Jacoby washes her and Jordan washes him. After that Jordan was getting her books set up, when there was a knock at the door. So Jacoby answer it and there was this mysterious man at the door asking for Jordan. Jacoby calls Jordan over to the door. When Jordan gets to the door, she sees his face. Wesley face!!!!! Jordan turns to Jacoby and says,"Jacoby this is Wesley my ex-boyfriend, Wesley this Jacoby my boyfriend." Wesley was in shock and was about to hit her but Jacoby stands in front of her and before she knew cops were at her house and then Will was there. Will walked into the apartment with Jacoby on the couch in handcuffs and Jordan sitting next to him crying. Will walks over to them, said" What the hell is going on here? What the hell Jacoby I thought I could trust you." Jacoby answered, " Will look Jordan's ex came over and was going to punch her so I got in front of it and got hit the face and so I punched him back he came at me before I knew it Jordan was on the ground jerking and unresponsive. So I called 911 and locked Wesley in the bathroom. Waited for paramedics to come but before they came she gain conscious again and sat with me on the couch. Then the police came and put me in cuffs. Wesley was already taken down to the jail because he violated a court order and a restraining order that Jordan had put on him." Will said," Good job Jacoby!" Then looks at Jordan and asked," Now Jordan you OK? I think you should go in the bus really I know you hate going the hospital but you should really go." Jordan answered," I am fine. I just want to go study for my test and I want my boyfriend out of those handcuffs. I want to press charges on that son of a bitch." Jacoby and Will were both very shocked on what Jordan had just said. Will had never seen Jordan swear like that before. Jacoby hadn't either. Will answered," I still think you should go but if you don't want to you don't have to. Jordan I never heard you swear like that before. I will go see if I can get Jacoby out of those cuffs." Jordan said," Thanks! I know because I tried cutting it from my vocabulary. It hasn't been so well." Both of them laugh. Jacoby gets out of the cuffs. Jordan pressed charges on Wesley. Jordan then has her apartment back in order. She just wanted to hold Jacoby in her arms and kiss him over, over and over again but she couldn't because Will was there talking to Jacoby. Will then see Jordan is back to herself and then says to the both of them," Jacoby, Drew would have been so proud of what you did today. Jordan your father would have been just as equally happy also." With smiles on their faces, they both said," Thanks so much Will!!!" Will left the apartment and went home. Jacoby and Jordan could finally start to study. Jacoby said," Babe we can study in the morning if you want to depending on what time your test is also." Jordan answered," Jacolb my test is at 11 and I think I can study tonight for a little bit. Please that would be awesome. I know Jacolb what you want to do but I really not up right now to it. So you can help me study and maybe we can cuddle afterwards." Jacoby said," Alright that is Okay but I only want you in my arms tonight." Jordan with watery eyes, replied," Alright babe. Let's crack open that book." Jordan and Jacoby were doing so great while studying. Jacoby had felt deep down that Jordan would pass this test because it was coming to her like she was a natural. It was eleven o'clock pm, Jordan was tired and so was Jacoby. They got into bed and cuddle with each other for that night. Jacoby never let Jordan leave his arms that whole night and Jordan loved it.
